    Hi,

iv an old 3t mini digger.

Enough Diesel doesn't appear to be coming through.

The small see-through filter on the pipe run, should this usually fill up a good bit?

There's only a small amount of diesel in this, about one-tenth full ? would this be a problem??

Engine turns over, and some white smoke, and almost starts occasionally, but not starting>?>

    any ideas?

Don't know much about diggers but there should be a bleeder on the filter housing, a push button thing. Give it a few pumps, hold it down and open the bleeder nipple to expel any air. Then try a restart.

Those see through filters are rarely 'full' but should be half full at least. Anything less is unusual but yeah, it's not necessary to try to force it to be full.
What digger is it? was it a perkins engine I saw in photo? (if you know / can see a badge on the engine.
