I’d suggest the medical centre or the bait shop

So Lights R Us? We might as well make a decision because it'll probably take us 2 - 2.30 hrs to get anywhere anyway.

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 3,818 ✭✭✭Phil WW

There is literally a location called light bulb.

If we went to Billy’s boat hire would it open up the rest of the map for us?

The game seems to have an interactive story telling element to it.

While we havent seen a benefit or detriment to our actions thus far, i dont think the hints we are getting would lead us directly to something that is just going to kill us randomly. I think it will lead us to competitions or riddles or tasks where we, through our own ignorance, hold ourselves back (see: yesterdays riddle); and thus i think there is no harm following the clues we are being given.

Lights R Us or Light bulb - i dunno which to pick. Maybe it doesnt matter.

The presence of a building called light bulb seems conspicuous to me, however. And there is precedent for a light bulb task in the source material.

Okay we 30mins discussing with no consensus.

I think bulb and light fitting are likely in different places.

"Lights" seems to be the most agreed option.

So out of the two a few people have said lights are us is to the right.

From consensus this seems to be the most agreed option. Can someone correct me if not?

The group have arrived at Brooke’s Books and Bibles

Hoping to find some answers on the towns history, the group stumbled into Brookes Books and Bibles. After a quick investigation of the store returned nothing of note, they quickly began to rifle through the shelves. A quick scan of one shelf related to a mystical cult that once existed in the town. Public burnings, brandishing and ritual human sacrifice were an essential part of their way of life for generations however with the rise of tourism to the island this quickly dissipated in favour of glorious capitalism! There was a lot of bibles too. There sure do love their God in Boardsitania…..

On the reception desk, someone found a book that had been left open. On the page was a handwritten poem...

    [Gabriel whispered into my ear
A shining light will guide you here
But there is no light in this town
    Everything’s always turned down
If only I could lift this fog
That hangs around like upon a bog
Then all above would be so clear
And I could find my way out of here
    ]

Someone said.... "Lift the Fog. Now that would be useful!"

You have explored the bookshop. Please bold your next location.

Here is the reference to light and why "light" become something we follow plus radio noise to right

But at 2.59pm I had voted this

I had also then discussed this theory and a few people commented on this afterwards too.

So Lucy, did you not read the thread before wading in with your insights?

Could be argued that you were just trying to look like you were helping the village with your puzzle theories while actually reposting other peoples already posted ideas. not that I would suggest such a thing though ;)

People could also argue that your first day of posts looks like fluff where most of your posts were related to the riddle or reposting vote results or asking for people to clarify why stuff happened.

Just want to point out (now that she has had over an hour to respond) that I am now also suss of Lucy.

    I posted this https://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=111920725&postcount=666

It was the post immediately before the munch announcements, so it would be very odd if Lucy did not see it especially as she was quoted in it and that 30 posts later she herself made a post.

Ignoring something like that is dodgy imo

Not going to be tunneling this but what a nice and simple way to put that to one side.

Please, only put votes in the lynching thread. The counter is finicky. There is no need to correct anything already made..it is being handled :)

Not much, packing for an away trip, but don't worry there's still one other on my list for the goings on of yesterday, everyone of them AFAIC A potential wolf campaign to drive the villagers in a particular direction.

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 3,818 ✭✭✭Phil WW

Grand so. Ill keep a vote on you until you can provide some decent contribution so.

Voting for you is a contribution. It’s like you’re deliberately being awkward

Like the light places, part of the reason was cause we heard a radio to the right, so we’re walking that way. But you don’t care, some tangent to suit you.

And hey look at that, the radio is getting louder when we go to the Lights R Us

I’m not going to vote to lynch you but I’d definitely like to have a veto on you voting for anything else on the villages behalf
