Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Injured fox

Had a very upsetting experience this morning, I looked out the window, and saw a fox dragging himself across the lawn by his front paws. his hindquarters were completely useless. He was one of a group of 3 foxes that I regularly leave food out for at night. I can only surmise that he had been hit by a car, and managed to drag himself back to the safety of the garden. I called <snip>, and they sent out an inspector, who couldn't help, as we couldn't find the fox. The inspector told me that they normally have 2 ambulances, one for North, and one for South Dublin, however today the Northside one was down, so he had to cover the entire Dublin region singlehanded. Made me think what an outstanding bunch of people at the <SNIP> and while I am sad about the fox, maybe some good will come of it, as I now intend to help them in any way I can. There's a "DONATE" button on their website, and it would be nice to think that I can maybe stimulate some awareness of their activities by this post.
