Hi,

I am currently negotiating with a new employer regarding a three year fixed term employment contract.

I am currently based in the UK but will be moving home for this role, and I am hoping to secure a mortgage with my partner (both first time buyers).

If I accept this position as a fixed term contract employee, will this affect my ability to get a mortgage? Assuming my partner will be in a full time permanent position.
