I’d ask for a link but I know the answer.

So much lies and nonsense posted here without any links or evidence needed.

There is a little truth in what was said even if you disagree.

Which others? Seems likely that, once eliminated, her votes would return to FG, as none of the other serious contenders are remotely 'right wing', ensuring a return to the status quo of 2FF/2FG/1Lab.

Waiting for votes to return can make for a very uncomfortable count.

Agree that if she runs the bulk of any vote she might get would come from FG, but she could also get enough FF votes plus some of that Wallace 2016 vote to make that last seat a real dog-fight.
Should she hang in until then, anything coming back could be well diluted by that stage.

A decent question to put to Leo would be "does he believe that PR and spin are an adequate substitute for Realpolitik and leadership now we are on the run in to an election?"

It is not just in the run in to an election.

That was the plan from day one with his cost neutral Strategic Communications Unit until it was discovered to be anything but cost neutral or politically neutral the little scamp

You are only in to stir.
We were talking about Verona Murphy.

Of all the comments on this page designed purely to stir, and there are a few, this is the most provocative.
    Supermacs expanding? Nice.

What an excellent question Charlie, perhaps Jingle all the way will answer this one, last time I think he scarpered when asked a somewhat uncomfortable question regarding siteserv, or maybe he answered it but I didn't see it.

    Siteserv?

    Don’t remember that.

But as far as I know nothing has been said or found yet?

    Don’t know much about it.

Who the **** is Collette Brown?

Once again no credible links or evidence of the claim.

    Google harder.

But you will get away with it around here.

    I thought it good news.

I prefer Supermacs over McDonalds or Burger King and it is Irish owned as well.

    We all know Matt’s intentions.

There was nothing positive about his comment.

    Blinkered.

    Don’t know much about it.

It's an investigation into a sweetheart deal between the previous FG government and a very good friend of FG. The expected cost of the investigation is 30 million.

If you took the time to read the article it provided links to various findings about the rich/ poor divide in Ireland.

    Any findings yet?

I used the word expected, that implies it hasn't concluded yet.
I thought you might like to learn more...

    I can’t it’s behind a paywall.

I can guess. More peddled nonsense about someone getting rich and people not.

Spare me. That’s life. Work harder if you want more.

Don’t expect anyone to hand it to you.

Tiresome basics most people were thought as kids.

Others were just thought to blame the gubberment.

As someone who doesn`t know who Collette Brown is, anything about Siteserv, or could be bothered to find anything about either you seem to have your blinkers closed in tight there yourself.

So what’s the point in discussing it now if no findings have been put out??

Seriously why should I take what Colette Brown says, like who is she??

Siteserv no one knows anything about yet.

Why would I talk about those two?

Seems like some deflection from my original post.

Honestly I clicked on the link but could only read the first 2 paragraphs.

    That’s the truth.

    Believe it or not.

Would I be correct in assuming from your posts that unless it is a FG good news story then you really have no interest in any other news or any current affairs ?

    No deflection whatsoever.
You brought up Siteserv yourself, but I get where you are coming from alright.
Anything that reflects badly on FG you just do not want to know about.

Now that you mention it, I`m surprised this hasn`t come up sooner.
Regardless of how she came up with the figure, is anyone in that cabinet actually talking to each other anymore ?

I`m no supporter of Varadkar`s but yesterday was just an embarrassment.
He was on his feet giving thw whole FG no interfering with the markets speel and a few hours later Zappone had found money, presumably down the back of that old couch that Michael Noonan had.

Is it a crisis or isn't it?

    Damned if you do.
    Damned if you don't.

Meanwhile the outrage merry go round spins and spins.

And new posters aren't prevented from starting new threads about FF.

Jingle is economical with the truth.

The hypocrisy is slating a member of the opposition when they called for intervention claiming it was reckless, then a mere few hours later doing exactly what was called for from said opposition member. Maybe an impending election and many potentially pissed off working parents concentrated the minds of Leo and co.

Definitely not a fan of the man, but his 23.3% had it been a four seater constituency would have guaranteed him a seat. Second most likely.
Looked at through that prism, I would be slow to write off Murphy if she runs

I think Verona if she runs will go very well. No sitting td in New Ross area and Paul Kehoe will be under pressure this time.
