Just make sure you are subscribed to Amazon.co.uk and not Amazon.com

I was on the US site for ages without realising it. I used to get emails from Amazon and everything was priced in dollars. Contacted them via live chat and the rep reset my region to UK (might have been Ireland?)

Can I ask, what sort of error are people getting?

I was able to view all the matches the other days this month on PC, no VPN. But trying to view the Spurs one now and I get:

    This page is temporarily unavailable.
We apologize for the inconvenience and ask that you try again later.

I figured it may have been to do with ordering something from Amazon to my Irish home address for xmas.
When I signed up I think I had Parcel Motel UK address selected.
Changing it back didn't work :(

Just to update on this in case it's affecting anybody else, I basically just got on chat like others here and asked them to change me to UK and they obliged.

Working fine now, even with Irish IP address.

This is how it went down:

Slightly OT but does anyone know if it is possible to cast a phone streaming to an Amazon fire stick in the tv?

    The picture is appalling

Hurts my eyes watching the games

Amazon are 45 seconds behind Premier Sports HD (on Eir) which itself is 5 seconds behind real time (according to the sofascore app)

I imagine sky via the dish is closest to real time.

Some are UHD hdr, rest are HD. You'll see UHD on the icon if the game is in UHD.

Tried twice now .Having set my default address to a UK one .But on chat they refused to manually transfer as my ISP was from an Irish location.

The quality has been excellent today to be fair . Their UHD is unreal though .. best picture I've ever watched a match on.

Love prime having the games, but they are 70 seconds behind the live action.

    That has to be remedied

would much rather it on normal tv
keeps freezing, quality of stream up and down, paused for a minute and it just went off the screen, took ages to get it back
    not a fan

virgin fibre supposedly here. is brutal lately
middle of castleknock, suburban estate and our road cannot get Eir fibre lines so i'm stuck with this muck or go back to 2mb broadband (which to be fair was about as good as what we get now)

That's obviously an issue at your end, I've had it on since 12 midday and there hasn't been a glitch or pause all day.

Ever think of investigating the problems as they're most likely your side. If you're using WiFi plug a decent laptop with gigabit Ethernet port in a test your wired speed. It's most likely local interference, nothing to do with your provider

Streaming is the future, but the delay is a problem that has to be resolved asap.

There isn't much they can do. The media needs to be compressed and then sent huge distances over the public internet then uncompressed on your device. Just mute your live notifications, 90 secs isn't a huge deal

Tv app came good in the end, but was 50s behind streaming directly off the website, so just watched it on the tablet.

I guess it’s because everyone uses LiveScore and Forza football alerts these days and the alerts are coming in before the goal is scored on tv. A simple solution would be for people to put their phones away when watching games.

I watched the Liverpool game tonight armed only with Three mobile broadband and the picture quality was excellent.

oh i've been on to virgin loads and eir and sky before them and explored all the avenues but while i can get a decent service at times, it never stays and if im streaming on one device, there is quite simply no hope for any other kind of internet connection ie if i want to dial into work or something id just be wasting my time.
even plugged into the router, speeds are up and down like a yoyo.

anyway, i got the bulk of the match this evening. only went haywire right after the final whistle do i couldnt get to watch the pundits which in fairness probably suited the wife!!

Best part about it all was yesterday I was in three different houses visiting and each one logged onto my prime account using different methods and everyone was happy.

The value this model gives blows sky etc out of the water and if amazon play their cards well sky etc will be in big trouble.

Excellent service, flicked on and off games between the constant watching of the Gruffalo etc with the kids......

Been able to bring my fire stick with me as well on hols is brill

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,656 ✭✭✭LowOdour

Watched 3 games yesterday, picture/streaming quality was excellent.

If Amazon provided a few games a month to start off with, would definitely ditch Netflix for it

I always mute alerts for games I'm actually watching. Well used to it after years of dodgy streams!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 18,955 ✭✭✭✭Shefwedfan

What I did like, which I know Sky has as well but this was easier, so I was watching game.....came back and a couple of goals.....was really easy to just go back in and watch replays......

I have amazon on 3 months but with this and decent seletion Imight keep as well as Netfliz......I canned Sky a few months back

It's not something that can be resolved though, it's the internet, there is something like a 40 second buffer AFAIK...

I know on the internet radio station I am on we have a gap of about 40 seconds between live and what is going out, I assume similar applies to the TV, infact, audio and video combined probably have worse of a delay...

Unless your willing to pay a couple of 100k and then 10K a year rental for dark fibre delay is not going to disappear.....

As speeds of internet increase so has the quality. Take the quality of the premiership images from 10 years ago and pump them. Down the same lines you would have minimal delay but then everyone would be complaining of sh*t

I did use it before but can't locate it now.
