Do not buy from Custompc.ie. Plenty of people on here have had issues with them.

Can't be stressed enough to not use these "guys".

I say guys because their legendary bad service leads me to believe it's some lad in the bedroom of his parents house.

A couple of questions if you dont mind as I am in the process of looking for a new build myself.

    1. How did you get on with the VAT, did they subtract the VAT amount before you paid the bill.

    2. Did you look at custompc.ie when shopping, and if so were CCL much cheaper.

Best of luck with the new system.

They have still to refund my VAT but I paid through PayPal and nothing has been taken as yet, but after I gave them my VAT number they checked it and approved the refund post payment.

Did not look at custompc.ie - but see comment above!

I asked them to recommend a PC spec for my needs with a budget of €1400, they took their sweet time getting back to me and then sent me a machine value of €600...??!

Am I seeing this right? Is this a full stand alone version of office for under a tenner?

I got my kit for my build from Aria PC. Not a problem and all arrived in a few days. Can't use your card though for purchases if in Ireland.

    Maybe.
Could also be an OEM copy.
But it works for most people.

    Hi All,

So PC arrived today - Yahoo!

I installed windows from key as suggested here - thanks again for that!

I have a dual monitor display...

One monitor uses a htmi connection - plugged it into new GFX card on new PC and its conneted fine, but the other monitor uses a different connection - smaller square like end - see image below.

The new GFX card does not have a slot to fit it, It has three other slots but they all seem to be non htmi also - a little larger..

Do I need a new lead for the 2nd monitor?

My new card: Description GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER

another issue. The 4tb drive is not appearing in windows 10?

Edir, I see a guide online - to initialize the other internal drive, The first SSD drive is for windows, the one I need to initialize is for general storage.

    I have two options:

MBR (master boot record) or GPT (GUID partition Table)

    Which do I select?

    Thanks!

The cable you're holding is mini-DisplayPort.
The 3 ports on your GPU are full size DisplayPort.
I'm surprised your monitor doesn't have full size DisplayPort too.

The port on the far right is a display port I think but can't be 100% with the angle.

The other cable I am usinhg is hdmi - but it will not fit in the other 3 ports on the new GFX card. Looks like they are different. I dont think that one you posted will work if its just hdmi...

GPT is the newer standard. No reason not to select that unless you want to move the drive into another (older) PC.

No they are directional. The data only travels one way so you need the correct cable as you cannot turn the cable around.

Tried the other displayport on the monitor? Sometimes there is an IN and an OUT.
