PATHETIC from Ruiz. Less prepared that stiverne. No need for judges he should have been sent home yesterday and replaced. Athlete... matchroom sponsoring snickers bars to him?

Worse than usual tonight. Never heard such a stream of gushing praise in all my life.

They're charging 28 quid for it and Joshua is their cash cow now and for the next few years maybe. They have to hype him.

They'd compliment the length of his sh*te if they could.

    Ruiz was disappointing.

    Adam Smith. STFU!

Shows AJ just didn't do his homework first time around, jabbed the face off Ruiz for the whole fight there and barely took a box. Was nice knowing ya Andy.

Fakest fight I ever seen in my life. Hope Ruiz Jr got paid a lot of money behind the scene.

Ruiz was visibly frustrated. He isn't that good an actor. No chance this was a fix....he just was too limited.

AJ just ran and hugged the whole fight. Commentary as embarrassing as brexit.

Adam Smith is such a knob

    Commentary sickening.
    Joshua is Frank Bruno level.
Ruiz May get a rematch and sadly it’ll sell.
Wilder would knock the two of these out together.
Fury would dance around two of them in the same ring for twelve rounds.

Its going to be a very underrated performance by the public. Joshua was superb tonight. The conditioning required to fight like that, at that weight, for 12 rounds is unreal. A boxing masterclass. It can sometimes be unfortunate for viewers that great boxing can be less than great entertainment.

Joshua must be wrecked - all the running he did.

Fair play they found a ways to beat Ruiz, but hardly a performance the get excited about.

Now stick him in with Wilder see how many of his solids he can take

Ruiz was too fat. That extra 20 pounds was the difference in him being able to close the distance vs not being able to.

Joshua can go back to dodging real fighters for another 2 years.

Don't want to see them in a ring together again

You'd swear AJ had just beaten Muhammad Ali the way the Sky commentators are going on

Exactly it's a "boxing" match. Joshua boxing very well here. If I was his trainer I'd tell him to not even throw a hook. All he needs is his legs and jab.

Looked like he followed a game plan to a T and won, which was the objective.

Joshua looked like he was auditioning for river dance.

Didn't know Tony Bellew was on boards.ie

    Talk about hyperbole.

NO IT IS A FAKE FIGHT.

If it was fake, the exact same thing would have happened in real life!

Ruiz turned up for a boxing match, and instead did a 5000m race.

Hard work outrunning a 20stone lard ass?

Absolutely clinical from AJ, only way I thought he could win the fight and the challenge was whether he could stick to that plan for the whole fight or would he get sucked into a war.

    Thrilled for him. Utter domination.

The conditioning to keep that up for 12 rounds controlling it from the outside. Super performance, won't get the plaudits some of his other performances get but very possibly his best ever. Shown he can adapt too.

Bellew might have been even worse which is saying something.

I watched the DAZN stream and Joshua was getting plenty of praise from the American commentators, they were mentioning the Brits tho.

Joshua fought a very disciplined fight IMO.
He kept Ruiz at distance, stayed behind his jab and kept Ruiz outside the hit range.
Ruiz was totally outboxed, yes he has faster hands and a better chin but heavy feet and poor ring skills.

AJ was very reminiscent of Sugar Ray v Haggler. Controlled the ring and avoided a brawl.

    They are always the same.
They have to try and convince the paying public that they are getting a good product.
Smith is the Head of the Joshua and Maywweather fan clubs.
    Excrement on a stick.

AJ fought like a man knowing he cannot take a punch.....

HW champion of the world. And afraid to to go and give it a real go...

I don’t know. It just feels so flat!!!

I suppose the commentary team have to sell the event so people pay their 27.50 next time. Disciplined and effective performance from Joshua and did what he should have done 6 months ago but you can't seriously call a one sided fight like that a masterclass. Ruiz is a bum and nothing more. Back to business now for Joshua and Eddie Hearn - the Joshua, Fury and Wilder triangle is back on. Hopefully.
