If I didn't thank it it's not counted.

    Hadn't counted GnRs. Have now. That's 5.

Christmas Vacation, because it makes you thankful that you're not related to the Griswalds.

  • Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators Posts: 16,287 Mod ✭✭✭✭quickbeam

GnR I didn't thank it at first because no reasons, but reading back you sorta did, by copying Necro's so I gave it to you.

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation through to the next round.

Still Santa Claus v St. Louis to sort.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,034 ✭✭✭Ficheall

I'll vote St Louis in the interests of moving things along.

Reasons: one less Santa Claus movie.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,896 ✭✭✭✭Spook_ie

Vote St. Louis reason this song on it's own does it

I'll vote Meet Me in St. Louis. I remember really enjoying it as a child, and I really dislike Santa Claus: The Movie.

I make it 5-5 between Santa and St. Louis. Next vote wins it.

    Bah humbug.

Harry Potter cos there's umpteen Christmas Carol adaptations and it's annoying me (if you couldn't tell already :P )

Scrooged as it's a proper Christmas movie.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,503 ✭✭✭✭Also Starring LeVar Burton

Scrooged, because its actually a Christmas movie and as far as Potter is concerned, the books are better!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,713 ✭✭✭Pretzill

Harry Potter because all the Harry Potters are great for watching over Christmas and Scrooged has to the weakest adaptation.

Scrooged as I love a movie with a bit of magic in it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,034 ✭✭✭Ficheall

Scrooged because Bill Murray can do no wrong.

    I vote HP

My hatred for Bill Murray is too strong to vote for Scrooged

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,005 ✭✭✭✭Toto Wolfcastle

Harry Potter because I didn’t really enjoy Scrooged that much. Harry Potter was such a huge event and even now I get excited when I see it on the schedule at Christmas.

Round 2, Match 7: Scrooged vs Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone

Tough one because I like both, but I will plump for Harry Potter as it is an enthralling story and wonderful fantasy.

Harry Potter - haven't seen Scrooged and I quite enjoy watching the HP movies around Christmas time.

Not really an upset. Neither going deep unless the draw is super favourable

Arthur xmas as die hard must die hard

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,465 ✭✭✭✭Kolido

    I vote for Die Hard.

Never heard of the other and DH is the best xmas movie starring Bruce willis

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 4,281 Mod ✭✭✭✭deconduo

Die Hard, the best Christmas movie.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,005 ✭✭✭✭Toto Wolfcastle

Ah you’re kidding me. How the hell do I decide between those two? I have to go with Die Hard here because it deserves to win the whole thing but they’re really equal in my eyes.

Round 2, Match 8: Arthur Christmas vs Die Hard

Die Hard for me because it is a great action caper. Plus, I did not see the other!

Die hard isn't a christmas movie. It's an action movie that takes place at christmas.
