    National Lampoons.

Never was a fan of the muppets

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,231 ✭✭✭Hercule Poirot

This is one of the tougher ones because neither of them are heavyweights - I'm gonna plump for Vacation - Chevy Chase may be a racist leech now but my God he could do comedy

    Muppets
Because my favourite, love actually, got knocked out, im not letting it happen to another favourite

Muppet Christmas Carol as its possibly Michael Caine's finest moment on film (apart from Jaws 4)

When did Chevy Chase become a racist, I thought he was a liberal, environmentalist?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,497 ✭✭✭ArnoldJRimmer

Elf because Will Ferrell, but also James Caan plays a brilliant straight man in it opposite him

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,713 ✭✭✭Pretzill

Santa Claus the Movie because Elf's have been elevated too much this time of the year.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,910 ✭✭✭✭whatawaster

Elf. Two great movies but Will Ferrell is perfect

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 460 ✭✭tonytiger81

Donald Glover AKA Childish Gambino said when they were making Community Chevy would often make racist remarks towards him disguised as jokes

Just cut to the chase and give it Die Hard now.

Or we could, like, vote and stuff first if you insist.

It's a Wonderful Life as it would actually be a worthy winner of the whole comp, and I think Chevy Chase and the gang have done well to make it this far, but should be the end of the road for them.

  • Moderators, Entertainment Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 14,157 Mod ✭✭✭✭pc7

And again I vote for Its a wonderful life, it is everything you need in a Christmas movie.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,896 ✭✭✭✭Spook_ie

It's a wonderful life, just tugs at the Xmassy heart strings that a lot of people try to hide by voting for ****e like Die Hard

  • Registered Users Posts: 343 ✭✭Siobh73

It's a Wonderful Life, gets you in the feels and it's what Christmas is all about

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,108 ✭✭✭circadian

Seems like a hard day's work has softened you lot up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,497 ✭✭✭ArnoldJRimmer

Its a Wonderful Life as its a perfect Christmas film.

Lampoons is good, but is also fairly flawed
