Not sure actually, must've been the bank account. Ill double check with them.

If it is the bank account then it won't arrive until Tue 6th April due to Monday being a Bank Holiday. Transfers made to Bank accounts after about 3pm don't arrive until the next business day.

Transferwise, now rebranded as Wise, now have virtual debit cards.
You can have 3 virtual cards along with a physical card.
I can see a good few people migrating from Revolut .

Just out of interest, why ?

Would transferwise have the same favourable exchange rate as Revolut for Stg£ ?
Would transferwise benefit from a deposit guarantee which Revolut does not?
    What about Monzo.
I have read about Revolut suddenly closing down accounts but dont know if this is true?

Been onto the site just there. But can't seem to find what I'm after if anyone has any ideas?

Have a KBC account and it won't take a GPB transfer as they say it must be in euros.

I have another bank account that will take the transfer but just wondering will I be ripped in fees and poor exchange rates? I was thinking of using revolut for the best exchange rate? and just transfer it over to my KBC account from there.

Let's say the amount is 100K+ of GBP, anyone know what the fees are like for this on revolut?

Also is there any benefits of having the premium or metal accounst for a transfer this large?

    Any advice appreciated.

That's a massive amount of money, where did it come from. They may ask you the source of funds under AML.

None of that would matter as it would all be above board.

More of a hypothetical question really and if anyone has experience with large amounts through revolut and what the fees are like for sums like this?

It explains what gambling block is in that link :confused::confused:

I'm guessing this is something at your request can turn on for your account, it's a bad look for them if they let you piss away all your money on gambling.

    Does it?

If it does then, does it not read that transactions will be instantly declined?

    What is Gambling Block?

Gambling Block allows Revolut to automatically block card payments related to betting. Betting includes lottery tickets, casino gaming chips, off-track betting and wagers at race tracks. The block is disabled by default, but once enabled, any betting-related transaction made with any of your Revolut cards will be instantly declined.

Do not use Revolut for large transfers. They will flag the transaction as potential money laundering, and good luck trying to get them to resolve it for you:

Odd about the gambling block as it works fine for the national lottery...i run the work syndicate and pay for it from that.

You have to enable the gambling block, it's off by default. The poster who asked about it not only failed to grasp that but had a pop at someone who tried to explain it to him.

Is there any way of avoiding paying for a Revolut Mastercard.

I wish to withdraw about Sterling £150 at an ATM in London from a Revolut account. (I prefer hard cash as back-up).

I understand N26 charge a % commission for non-Euro transactions. Revolut do not during weekdays for such a small transaction I understand.

    Any cheaper alternatives...

There's an issue with top ups right now. Try Google Pay.

If you need a physical card but don't want to pay for both card and shipping you can now order a special glow card (under material plastic) for only 4.99 € with free standard shipping.

Its a special design with 1€ going to a project to support gyms. Mail about it should come soon.

And the card is black / white during the day and glows green during the night.

There was a prior promo for the Irish Cancer Society as well, which i availed of, that donated to the ICS. Not sure if that is still ongoing or not.

On this one for the Gyms, it's promoted by Anthony Joshua.
Previously i may have supported it but not with now with the links to Kinahan.

    But that's just me!

Every so often, Revolut has a promo where existing users can sponsor new users which includes a free card, but i haven't seen this for anbout 6months now.

And suddenly I cannot topup with my ebs card, needing to download the ebs app and register with their online thing, which involves printing a form and bringing it to a bank (last time I checked). Well, ****.

    You need to install app
    Setup DOB and phone number
    Get phrase
Ring the 0818 number, they have it as +353818 so missing the 0
Verify who you are, two security questions you set when opening account
    Tell them code
    Press next
    Setup pin
    That's it

That and the mess of getting a letter if you reinstall the banking online authentication app has lead me to move money to credit union and use N26 as bank

I'm a bit confused with their conversion setup. If I want to buy sterling from euro, does it matter if I am in my euro account and selling to STG or in my stg wallet and buying STG? Used to be much more streamlined.

Always thought it was odd all these fancy physical cards, I would think a large chunk of Revolut customers (being comfortable with tech etc) would have contactless set up with a phone or watch?

My physical revolut card barely sees the light of day...

    Basic question.

I was expecting to get a payment from 5 people via Revolut.

4 paid fine and 1 has told me that the payment (to my mobile number) is stuck in "pending".

What is the typical main cause of a payment being stuck in pending?

(I realise why pending would happen with merchants and bank transfers but don't understand why it would happen with Revolut to Revolut).

    Thanks.

    Can anyone help me.

I am trying to add money to Revolut in their app from PTSB. When you click the PTSB on list you are asked to enter Iban but Revolut app won't let you type anything in the field.

I sent money from. Open 24 last Friday and it has not landed yet.
I assume listing Lithuania as the destination is correct for an Iban with LT in it and still counts as a local transfer (€) or have I set it up incorrectly and enter in Ireland?

Is there a quicker way to transfer money from another account to Revolut?

You can just use your PTSB visa to top up, it's instant
