AMN will have a torrid time today with Sterling running at him. Hope he gets the help he’ll surely need.

That’s why I’m worried. He’ll need a lot of cover.

Pepe not even pretwnding to tackle
    Chambers defending like a sponge
kolasinic ducking out of the way.

    This is Arsenal

Do we give up watching now?. Bloody hell might as well have no one at the back

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,912 ✭✭✭Deeper Blue

    This could be a massacre

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 52,619 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

That is a joke. Anyone thinking we are a soft touch is 100% right.
    Club going downhill fast.

This is going to be a long evening

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,984 ✭✭✭Soups123

    That is truely shocking

3 defenders not one tackles KDB, Kola has just Sterling to mark and just leaves him be. Absolutely embarrassing I’ve kids who understand defending better

I genuinely think we've the worst defense in the premier league.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,309 ✭✭✭Azatadine

    Yeah, massacre coming here. Shocking.

Can't see it being anything but a massacre at this early stage. Expected as much before the match, tis a sad state of affairs.

Was the last time we beat City when Arteta scored the winner? Feels like we've lost the last 10 in a row against them

    No doubt about it. Comfortably.

I'm so disheartened at this club.

I'm moving to China so I don't have to watch them anymore

I don’t blame FL, he’s just a coach. Sure all his pre and post match talks about transitioning is all just coaching talk.

We’ve without doubt the worst collection of defenders in the league, we went and bought the most obvious Arsenal type CB in the league in the summer.

Players aren’t trying for any coach, for the club or themselves.

The owners are (I’ll not card myself). Leaving FL in charge with no senior coaches to support is shocking this is top level sport worth millions and they’re less committed than a Sunday league team

This isn't going to get better with the Kroenke family in charge. If they were serious the defence and new manager would be long sorted.

They really are fouling us off the pitch.

I think we're the only club where makeshift full backs might actually improve the defence

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,103 ✭✭✭DenMan

Kolasinac may have played his last game for the club.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,456 ✭✭✭wonga77

Surely they must realise their approach is going to cost them money? CL is where the money is and were miles off that.
The club is losing appeal for players and fans at a huge rate

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,984 ✭✭✭Soups123

I think our lads believe KDB is not too be tackled today

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 52,619 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

    Marshmallow men.

This scoreline is no surprise to me whatsoever, we're the perfect opponents for Man City - terrible defence and no pressing so they can pass it around at their leisure

PL rakes in money either way. They’ll never spend to bring us back there’s too much cost and risk involved for Kroenke model

We are just a holding to support there US sports interest

Can we pay St. Étienne an extra 50 million to get Saliba in January?

Nearly another and not a hand laid on him. Embarrassingly weak. Men and little boys.

    Poor Leno.

No intensity at all. They might as well have all been on the pints last night.

Lads, we need something to happen quick on the manager front. FL is a disaster (he shouldn't be in the role, not blaming him) and we'll sink like a stone.

    Marshmallow men.

Every one of the b*stards from the boardroom to the field are an utter ****in disgrace. An absolute disgrace.

You'd see better defending in the bottom tier of Tipp South and District League.

We are heading the same way as Sunderland. A rot of a club

They are still looking to find the nearest man to Emery’s style so they can use the same players. Also delaying until Jan means you don’t have to buy new players

There is no way they are after a top draw manager because that cost money and they’ll demand transfer funds.

The problem is that these players think they actually good. They need a good rollicking from a new manager who won’t take this rubbish.
We can blame the Kronke family, the board, FL, Emery and even Wenger but at the end of the day the players are getting away with these half arsed performances and there are no repercussions.
The club is in a terrible mess. Only a disciplinarian can sort this out.

    Hey that's my league!!

    TTFC for life.

And we defend better than that!

Xhaka got some stick as captain but Auba is just as bad. Has been standing still since they got the 2nd. Midfield in good options and doesn't make any movement. I know people will say but he gets a goal. But as captain he needs to lead by example and that just doesn't happen.

I don't think we were doing that bad up to their 2nd but now everytime they come forward you're thinking it's gonna be a goal. Damage limitation now.

Óscar Tabárez would sort them out! :D

I said it before and I'll say it again, it's the same as the United situation. Mediocre players getting their way. It's gonna take a massive clear-out to get back to the sharp end of the table.

He's at the match now, get him in at half time
