Not sure of the context of Gini saying he extended in that video but I really do hope that is the case...

Jeff "I secretly hate Liverpool" Stelling and Merson are arguing over Klopp not attending the FA Cup. Going on a while. Merson's outsmarted him a few times. Stelling should probably get that checked out.

Should be a red ,no where near the ball and knee high, and it's simply waved away even though freekick was given

Robbo somehow gets away with a clear back pass lol.

So Lovern scored the winner for Southampton at Anfield, in the 2013/14 season, and took the points that would have won us the title, the bastard ha.

Saints seem to be having a bit of joy here. We really haven't settled in at all

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,574 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

I think Robertson was kicking it off of the Southampton player, but it missed and rolled to Allison

Too many vertical balls for my liking some good sideways pass options being ignored

edt - don't think TAA was really trying to score from there :)

Sterling is one of those that thinks that everyone should respect the FA Cup, just cause it's the FA Cup. Outside of the UK/Ire, the FA Cup has never meant much more than any other domestic cup competition.
It's still worth winning. But in terms of viewership/prize-money, it's well down the list of interest to Liverpool (and most other teams). If the FA want to make it a better competition, they should get rid of the League Cup and schedule games accordingly.

This is the best opposition team, along with Wolves, I've seen at Anfield this season.

    Bobby playing very astutely

    How unlucky was that

    Clear penalty,
    VAR
    NO PENALTY !

Firmino was never getting that ball but it was a foul

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,620 ✭✭✭eigrod

Shane Long rugby tackling - no pen. Ok.

Firmino was never getting that ball but it was a foul

Saints can't complain much after that. It was a foul.

But we always get the VAR decisions?......looked a foul, Firmino was probably never going to get to the cross though....

Should it be treated the same as people being pulled to the ground at corners? They may not get to it but pens have been given for it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,574 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

Since when was '' he was not getting to the ball'' a rule in fouling someone?

So you could go up to someone and punch them in the face, and it would be okay, if ball was no where near him. Makes no sense. I was a foul, and so it was a penalty.

VAR is never wrong you just don't understand the laws of the game.

I dont disagree, just putting forward some reason why it wasn't given...

That should be a card for Romeo. Southampton getting all the decisions

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,885 ✭✭✭✭yourdeadwright

Stonewall peno he hauled him down

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,444 ✭✭✭✭TitianGerm

Brewster scored for Swansea as well.

VAR in Premier League is chalk and cheese compared to VAR in Europe. In Premier League they are looking aT facts, and then having opinions on them

    ''clear penalty, fact''

'' but he was never getting to iT, according to all our footballing knowledge, sure Firmino can't jump FFS''

    VAR

    NO PENALTY !

This is not a good performance

Not really, they should have had a free kick in the box for picking up a back pass.

Not many visiting sides play two up front at Anfield and work so hard. Causing some problems.

We need to wake up. We are in a right battle here.

Liverpool are going their darndest to make a game of this!

So slow on the ball at times, Alisson is taking it all in his stride though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,574 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

Why are these muppets allowed to have opinions?

Just look at facts, was it a foul any where else on pitch, answer YES.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,910 ✭✭✭✭whatawaster

Klopp will murder someone at half time

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,578 ✭✭✭✭murpho999

This is not a good performance

Disagree, they're playing against a decent and competitive side and created some chances.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,984 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Gini really has no idea what to do in the box unless he's wearing orange

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,407 ✭✭✭✭Vicxas

Far too lazy at the back

Southampton and Liverpool are the two form teams since turn of year. Should have expected a tough game.

Liverpool giving up chances but I prefer this type of match to West Ham midweek.
