Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Disagree, they're playing against a decent and competitive side and created some chances.

You can’t think we have played well, surely. We have been all over the place defensively

Southampton are a good side, I agree

Gomez very slack today. Not the first time he’s been casual.

Allison Saves more than Jesus Saves

    Brilliant again

A coincidence that Fabinho is back no??

Doing our best to try and lose this game

Gini really has no idea what to do in the box unless he's wearing orange
He's been really poor, lost the ball a number of times, offering very little.
Fab has been iffy. Gone to ground a lot cause of a poor touch.
Ox is not a front 3 player.

He has been ok. Gomez, Gini and Ox very slack in the last 15 mins

There is someone on the ambient mic who sounds like a Scouse witch. A weird guttural invocation of mystical stuff which is clearly not working at all.

Can’t remember the last time I’ve seen our players been dispossessed so much. Southampton pressing very well but some awful slackness from some Liverpool players.

Yes, I do think they've played well, created some chances

Last few mins the defence was under pressure and there was one mistake by Gomez that Alisson reacted to brilliantly.

So I wouldn't say they have been all over the place defensively just been under pressure by a good attacking team.

    v poor last 10mins

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,385 ✭✭✭✭D'Agger

I'd be bringing on Naby here for for Gini or else Fab with Hendo slotting back

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,612 ✭✭✭eigrod

Could be 1 up. Could be 1 down. A little bit of tiredness evident in a coupke of players so the 2 week break for them has come at a good time.

We look a lot less solid with Fabinho at 6 as opposed to Henderson

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,417 ✭✭✭.G.

Fabinho is a tough one, he takes a good few games to get into his stride but we suffer while he gets those games. Still need to give him them though. Not sure I'd have picked this game as one of them.

The complacency is inevitable at times IMHO with more unforced errors than usual especially in the last 15 mins. Have to give Soton credit too yet it's still 0-0. Hopefully we turn it on in 2nd half as plenty of chances there for us too

true, this ends the debate about the fa cup in my opinion. all focus should continue with the PL for the foreseeable future

BACK PASS '' that would have been a free kick, 6 inches from the Liverpool goal line''

Not sure that's how it works, geez

Drop OxCham - he is not a good wide attacker at all, esp the left. Go 4-4-2 and bring on Keita.

Think Southampton may tire. They are known to concede late goals.

We had a game midweek, they didn’t

This is very tough. I would take a draw now.

But then again Ston might not get better chances....

    Smashing goal

Anyway...in my defence he came inside to shoot, where he is clearly more comfortable.

What a goal that would’ve been.

Nearly a sensational goal, should have been, Salah could see the line

Hate this NBC commentator. He’s on SKY as well.
Calls Salah a yard offside, even when it’s ridiculously close with the lines.

He made the run twice, trying to stay onside, but Bobby delayed the pass.

Ings looked for the penalty, Fabinho won the ball but kicked it against Ings, so ball bounced into Ings path again, Fabinho then off balance and falling backwards with legs out, Ings leaves a lazy leg there to try win a penalty off of Fabinhos leg, and the exaggerated fall summed up the attempt. Could have been given though.
