Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I did laugh on MOTD, when they went through the penalty decisions, that Shearer did a preamble about how stonewall the incidents were.

He gets to the Ings one, they slow it down, show ZERO contact, and Shearer says it's a penalty, essentially because Fabinho 'flicked his foot out'. He couldn't say Fabinho caught him, because he'd look like a moron.

Was there really no contact? I haven't seen it since but thought during the game that it was a peno.

I think both were. And we should have been penalised for a backpass

Can VAR interject on a backpass/indirect free kick?

Thread is nearly at 10k so gone soon.. what a thread it's been, a undefeated thread, best the league has ever seen imo..this time next thread..we will be champions.

statistically the greatest thread ever, it would have been perfect only someone said "a undefeated"

Thought it was a nailed on pen for Ings myself. The one on Firmino cancelled it out though. Most annoying thing about yesterday's game was Mo running needlessly offside for what would probably have been our best goal this year. Beautiful football.

Same Nazi would have a few things to say about your lack of full stops.

It was more on Bobby than Mo.
Mo twice made the run and held the line, but Bobby took a bit too long to make the pass.

Massive boost to City's squad letting their LB Angilino leave.

I've only ever had 24 hour bans, probably about six in total. They were results of an awful crime of chatting in the humour thread.:)

I'm going to get banned in mid to late May, it's quite cleansing to be outside for a few weeks.

I may be near the top of the league table for reds and yellows.

However nothing in the last few months, I must be going soft.

Sterling diving for penalties & should be off not once, but twice by now.

Let's see if Linekar tweets/even mentions these.

6 wins from 13 games all that’s needed.

    What a sentence.

If one of our wins is against City we only need 5 total

Presuming they drop points here which is looking likely

Pep not having it his own way is absolutely fantastic!

Aguero not having the minerals to take the pen v Lloris is comedy gold :D

9 goals in the difference between ourselves and our nearest rival. Sure that's like another point:)

Jose is going to stick up the 4 fingers at the end of the match and will claim this result was the shift in the title race.

I hope our players conduct themselves better than the absolute **** housery from City last year, They deserve this. I'm the most pessimistic person ever but I'm calling it. We took on the greatest premier league team ever and broke them, absolutely broke them. We made them so bad I'm ashamed they're humans.

We made the best league in the world look like the worst league ever.

Better than Leicester, yeah yeah it is

    I don't necessarily 'care' - it's just a relevant talking point.

'Pundits' - fair enough, but Linekar, no.

The man is biased, bitter & has a massive agenda whne it comes to us & time & time again he's made that clear & obvious.

He's pulled Mane & Salah on things he's happy to turn a blind eye to if it's the likes of Kane or Sterling.

He makes more noise about the likes of our goal after the Ings penalty incident yesterday as per his tweet yet very little when something like that goes against us a la our game V United at Old Trafford & how their goal came about.

Anyway, let's agree to disagree before we clog up this thread with such a debate :D:)

You not the most pessimistic. In the Gen PL thread I said it was done, yet someone said it’s not over until May. Even when I suggested that City could lose today, and we’d have a 22pt gap; still need to wait till May.
Then again, in a discussion about stats, they said we got 98pts last year; so rational/facts wasn’t their strength.

It’s over folks (has been for a while).

Yea they have a tough run of fixtures. I can see them dropping more points over the next month or so.
