Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

That person would be far away from the general public in a room where they can do no harm to themselves...seriously though, it's that bonkers

Ricero, thank you so much for that.

If that was a wind up I'd give it an A.

Given that he's deadly serious I'll give it an A+++++++++++.

I'd say City will get to 85 points max and we'll finish well of that, possibly over 100 points.

Ridiculous how it has become. 85 points in the past would almost guarantee you the league and now it's a poor season.
Both De Bruyne and Walker said in interviews before the season began that they thought 85 points would win the league this season.

I don’t think so. You can’t take your foot off the pedal at the weekend and then think you can pick it up again midweek. He’ll certainly rest players, but it’ll be done strategically and Klopp will demand a certain level of performance throughout.
The players themselves demand the performances from each other.

Prior to today's game, City were only 5 points off their total from the same stage last season.

So we need a ppg of 1.38 to win the league

But its not a wind up if it is he is playing the long game has he called in before to complain about VAR

But you see there was no VAR so the Stockley Park posse couldn't conspire against them last season. etc. etc.

Imagine being so narrow in your world view you'd end up obsessing about something so transient and ephemeral. Gaz attacking Robbie Savage for having an Ian Rush Juventus shirt is sad, so sad

The funny thing is the 2 points we dropped this season had a goal disallowed by VAR. Mane's goal would have stood without it.

Might not even need the 6 wins if City slip up again between now and then. Once Liverpool get past 80 points its effectively over bar mathematically. Can't see City winning all their 13 matches. Could drop points against Leicester or Chelsea over next few weeks

    Funny though.

How could he not get that Rush, Hughes and Savage are all Welsh. Then again when someone calls into a show and someone on air literally starts clapping it's probably not a good sign for the callers intellect.

Breaking the points record and staying unbeaten would be great but it's madness to say it should take precedent over the CL.

It's still the biggest trophy you can win, it's huge. We'll truly be the greatest English team of this era if we do that, City never managed it. We're also looking like the best side in Europe right now and we need to show it. 2 CL wins back to back and the PL in the same season would be the beyond any of our wildest dreams even just a year back.

I'll take losing the invincible status and getting less than 100 points if it gives us a better chance at the CL.

No complaints from me if Klopp starts resting players for the CL. The league is well and truly sewn up now

No need to rest players. We need sharpness for the CL. Rest when there's an extra game midweek maybe but in general still playing the same team as much as possible.

Honestly I'm expecting us to be in the CL final again this year. I don't know what team could stop us over 2 legs. I'm not worried about the CL this year until the final. I'm very confident.

You’re right, Champions League is the number one priority from here on out. And some limited rotation may be necessary to help us in that goal. But any talk of wholesale changes or letting everyone have a game is madness imo. The club, management and players have worked so hard in recent years to get into this position, a once in a generation chance to literally rewrite the record books. We could set records this season that last for fifty years.

Legend has it Statman Gaz is still trying to calculate how many points Liverpool have from the last 102 on offer.

We've had some funny stats but City dropping more pts today than Liverpool have in last 34 matches might push that Stat Man City into oblivion :):):)

Statman Gaz reminds me of those fans that start off with “Liverpool’s success doesn’t bother me, but.......”

Pretty bang on prediction from those two, assuming they meant the points total that Liverpool will have when we win it in March.

Is our cup game on any US, Canadian, etc channel on Tuesday? I'm thinking of taking a flight somewhere to watch it.
