Rolled Turf - Aftercare?

Hi, we recently had our garden done. The garden is long and narrow, and slopes downhill away from the house. We had rolled turf put in and it's laid horizontal (ie across the slope, not down the slope).

This was week before last. The turf seems very loose and moves underfoot - it's very "sinky" if you get me. Certain parts of it, if you step on it, it will sink.

Should we be staying off it altogether, and if so, for how long? Is there anything we should be doing in terms of aftercare and maintenance to make sure it settles correctly?

    Thanks

Yes you should stay off it altogether until the new grass has had a chance to take root properly.

I'd wait a couple of months considering the amount of rain we have been getting recently. The cold weather should mean it wont get too long in that time anyway.

Not aware of anything else you can do to help it settle in besides just giving it time.
