Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Load a site, everything looks great, bout 50MB worth of sh1te and ads (if you're unfortunate enough not to have an adblocker installed) and everything looks great! The site looks promising and helpful

then that sinking feeling when the entire background starts to fade grayer and grayer, often pausing the fading process because the browser is now choking on all the sh1te that's being thrown at it.

    Then a dialogue box

"Sign up now for 10% off stuff we're really quite desperate to get rid of"

    No.

"We value your privacy. Blahdee blahdee blah. Accept all cookies? - or - Stay out in the cold where you belong"

    Another thing pops up.

"Accept notifications from ____.com?" <--- If you click yes to this one you'll end up kicking yourself for a week

then finally you get to browse for a few seconds and the whole thing goes gray again.

"The thing about ad blockers is they don't allow us to make enough money! Disable your ad blocker now or else we won't give you our nice juicy pixels!"

Yep, your better off sticking to 4-5 sites a day.
    Bank
    Boards
    Indo ( that old rag)
    Lidl.ie
    Aldi.ie

For most that list would be

    Google
    Facebook
    Netflix
    Amazon

The conspiracy theorist in me can't help but think this was the intention of this. Google has a big hand in deciding what features go into web standards and also what becomes law. The notifications feature and the law mandating the 'we value your privacy' were certainly overseen by Google.

The above companies have been trying to centralise the decentralised internet for years now
