    Fair call there.

    Uncomfortable viewing at this stage.

These lads are the premiership leaders.

  • Dan Biggar waves his arms so much in a game you'd swear he's trying to fly

At this point all I want more out of this game is for Fardy to break Biggar in half.

    Kearney's try doesn't count.

    It's ridiculous.

Its utterly pathetic. CVC capital must wondering what sort of product they spent 200 million on.

I'd say Rob is absolutely fuming.

Dave has less grey hairs, is starting in European games, and can score tries.

    Officially the better Kearney.

Good make up play by VDF

Jesus there's still 20+ minutes left in this, feels like it's been a long half, some amount of stoppages.

If you listen very closely you can here this playing in the background

Literally just thought the exact same thing.

Doris does it again. Straight up through the ruck.

    Cheslin Larmour

Larmour beat about 8 defenders there

So BT already making excuses for Northampton

Hilarious from Larmour but not really intelligent rugby.
    7 players in one run

    ESPN says 7.

He beat more defenders in that passage than he had for the 70-odd minutes before that

You'd think Saints would've copied the French there and just told Gibson to go down holding his head.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,174 ✭✭✭✭kmart6

Poor from the ref there, really looked like the winger got his knee on the ground pretty quickly on the tackle.

They should just allow rolling subs and not have these silly exceptions.

Northampton have been throwing elbows and knee's everywhere for the last ten minutes.

When you're 30 points up you can do things like that.

Larmour's run really highlights how much he's matured as a player. 18 months ago he would have tried to beat every player on the pitch in the first minute of the game. But now his decision making is so much better. It started day the World Cup imo. He looked to kick or pass from his own 22 rather that attack himself. He's continued in that vein since. He picks his time to run when it's really on rather than every time. He's much more mature now.

I thought we played alright, you know.

In all seriousness it was a fantastic performance.

KIller that we have to wait a whole year for Lowe to qualify.

He’d have a problem taking the jersey off Dave anyway.

Not that I said it before but Dave Kearney has to be in contention for the Ireland 6 nations squad with his form this season

Great to see him get a run of games after his injury nightmare

    45K in attendance my hole!

The performance by Leinster tonight was terrific. They were the only team that looked to have a plan for the whole event against Northampton. They truly deserve their place in the KO stages after that win. It was just wonderful play from the entire Leinster side. My favourite 3 tonight were Ringrose, Lowe & Larmour. They were excellent out there on that pitch.

Season ticket holder count even if they don’t show up so the numbers are always off

The Aviva game is up there with bad matchday experiences.

Shout out to James Tracy btw. He’s not the greatest but he put in a tremendous shift tonight.

Yeah well aware of that, even with season ticket holders they did not sell enough to be announcing 45K.

Atmosphere usually. Can be a bit flat sometimes.

Yep, I'd say most supporters would agree with you. I rarely enjoy a game at Lansdowne any more.

Had one asshat sitting beside who fidgeted the whole time and chatted non stop to his mate, only stopping now and again to shout at people to sit down. RDS has a better crowd generally.

Most games in Aviva are a hammering for the opposition....especially in Europe. The Christmas game as well is used by a lot of people as start of beer....

Yeah, I'd have thought about 40k. Lots of empty seats in the West Upper but good coverage other than that.

So 93-37 across the 2 games. That's crazy when you think it's the top side in the Premiership. That shouldn't be happening. But if it's going to then I'm glad we're on the right side of it. Some great performances today, but special mention has to go to Frawley. Very inexperienced but looked the part for his time on the pitch. Was watching from the south lower so not the best of views, but he really impressed me.

Also, Larmour is ridiculous. 7 defenders with 1 run. Thats pure crazy. His break up the middle too where he beat a few was superb. Without question our starting FB for the 6Ns. Nobody else even comes close right now.

Yep. Pretty dead where I was. Nobody shouting or cheering much. Plenty of banal conversations around me (as well as an inordinate amount of people doing runs for pints) but it was so quiet that I felt I was bothering people by cheering the team on.

Doris 18 carries for 82m and 16 tackles
VDF and Ryan 18 tackles each.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,720 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Doris scored after identifying no Northampton pillar defender at a ruck. Picked and ran straight through the middle. He does that pick and run almost every game. I've never seen a player so successful at identifying when the opposition defence is down numbers and taking advantage. He's an extremely intelligent and streetwise player for someone so young.

We always end up beside the 12 pubs crowd. A woman took a five minute phone call behind us.

The amount of talking going on while the kicks were being taken was ridiculous. Felt like half the crowd had never been to a rugby match before.
