There was a big fight after an xmas party in one place I worked. Several people involved. Don't know if police were called, but they were wearing company branded clothing. Don't remember what it was about, but I remember it was something ridiculous. Nobody was fired. Doesn't have any bearing on your own situation, just found it interesting.

Are we reading the same thread - a work colleague is (apparently) pressing charges on the OP for an assault arising from the work function...

Work colleague can’t ‘press charges’. That’s not how it works here.

    Of course he can.

No, charges are brought by the state; the work colleague can influence both whether charges are pressed and to what extent he might be punished, but not decide.

Beginning to think this is fake.

This was always a wind up, it's clear that the OP is a gimp that has an odd infatuation with telling tales of him being arrested in different scenarios.

well, lads, I said I come back to see if there was an update..

even though I think it's all gobbly gook

Not entirely true, he could take a private prosecution or seek to recover damages as a result of the incident.

    I demand satisfaction.

The private prosecution thing is interesting. I thought cases died if the DPP decided not to proceed. I know a couple of people who have been angered by the DPP deciding not to proceed with charges when they were victims so it's good to be aware of this as something that could be explored.

Recovering costs would be a civil case though, which does not involve criminal charges.

I don't want to jump to conclusions but I think its more than likely that Conor84 is languishing in solitary confinement with no chance of parole at this stage

It its after midnight and in a separate venue I'm really not sure how work can be involved.

I would expect its to clear up any outstanding issues between the parties involved.

Unless they're Gremlins i'm not really sure why this matters.

There’s been enough damage done by people being locked without adding to the misery now with a thread locked :P

    Why?

Because its not "After Hours", in which case everything is fair game. I have no wish to make fun of anyone predicament especially at this time of the year. No matter if it is of their own making.
