How can I create a chart/graph to show the following in Google Sheets...?

Column A lists items
Column B lists year the item started production
Column C lists year the item stopped production

I would like to be able to see the time the items were in production represented as a bar for each item running horizontally. This way I can see start, finish and overlaps in production at a glance.

How can I show this information on a graph in Google Sheets?

I have looked at that help section but I cant seem to get it to show the information in the way I want. Can you explain how to do that for me.

It is best to plot your data as a type of Gantt Chart. There are plenty of tutorials online to guide you.
As a very rough example take a look at a quick mock up i did to see if it works
The important thing is to create an additional column for total duration rather than use the end date

Many thanks. I didn't even know the name of the chart I want, Gantt chart. I should have a bit more luck now I know what I want to make.
