So this is what France look like when they've properly done their homework on another team.

Wales outclassed here, need to drag France down to their level.

Why on Earth did Thomas try to pick that up

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,728 ✭✭✭Former Former

Thomas in a footrace with AWJ. Just kick it ahead ffs, even if he picked it up he'd have been tackled

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Butler has taken all his opportunities to add “Fijian” or “South African” when talking about one of the French foreign players.
Interesting to see if he does likewise for Parkes and Tomkins.

'Rugby intelligence', Thomas has none of it.

    Oh that looked sore

Would be surprised if he comes back on.

Though he looked fresh enough running off there.

Of all the people for that to happen to, North needs that probably the least.

    This.

George North's head must be like a sponge at this stage, any sort of knock and he's gone

North seems to get sparked very easily. Was a thump in fairness but he goes to sleep very quickly, which is not a good sign at all

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,149 ✭✭✭mangobob

Felt biggar had a case there.

  • Site Banned Posts: 221 ✭✭SAM SO NITE

North has been sparked more times than a boy scouts flint.

Aldritt player of the tournament for me so far. Carries with venom and at pace. Jagged elbowed and cantankerous .

Welsh player shoved the French guy into him.

Fair enough I didn't notice that.

North and Biggar in the same backline. Concussion nightmare.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,730 ✭✭✭✭Squidgy Black

Thomas can count himself lucky there, completely caught sleeping

    North staying off.

With his history it would be wreckless to put him back on.

Not surprising...when he hit the ground it was like a boxer who'd been knocked out sparko...I'm just glad he managed to get off the field under his own steam

    Love a good counter ruck.

He always goes down in the fencing position. They aren't innocuous knocks with overzealous doctors keeping him off. Hes face down in the dirt every time.

From my bar stool I think he should pack the sport in.

Interesting to see the French 8 constantly in the backfield when Wales are kicking to return

North is definitely a candidate for CTE. You would have to be concerned for his health in 15/20 years time, if not sooner.

Yeah, it's not a good prognosis.

That would remind you of the French of old!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,730 ✭✭✭✭Squidgy Black

If there was no knock on or forward pass there that could be the try of the tournament

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,906 ✭✭✭✭PhlegmyMoses

    Wow wow wow

Forward pass. What a shame. That could have been a potential beauty.

They really need to do something about these rucks for box kicks with 3 or 4 men joined in a line off the back of them meaning the kick is taken about 5 metres behind the tackle line.

    It’s so daft.

That ****e of disallowing a beautiful try for nothing would sicken you.

Yep. Probably need to look at the screening off box kicks and garryowens as well. All manner of ****housing going on too

Halfpenny's going to be seeing French jerseys in his nightmares

Forward was pretty obvious at the time I thought.

    Great game so far

Wales making mistakes at home. This doesn't happen often.
They aren't gonna win this game kicking 3 pointers either.

I could watch France all day when they play like this.

    And boom! Another great conversion.
