Not really.


God would have defended Job, if they were the bodyguard, but instead they abandoned Job and left him to the suffer at the hands of Satan.
Satan could well be seen as wolf team, but there must be others that are doing the bodyguard job saving Job from being munched.

God is probably the seer. And Job is trying to self sacrifice, but Satan is continually foiled as Job is protected over and over again because of their extreme devoutness. Maybe thats a new role, if you have blinding devotedness is another players goodness, then you will be protected from death. Oh, now I remember more of the story, god did have condition to allowing Satan to torment Job, he would not allow Jobs death, so maybe bodyguard is right.
I'm no theologian, so any and all details of the story may be misremembered.
