Wii display problem

I'm having an odd problem with my Wii, for certain games the colors are off. At first I thought it might be the start of disc rot or the laser going but it is perfect for other games. When Im in the wii menu it sometimes looks like the icons are discolored too but this cleans up once I go to the GameCube screen.

Ive a composite cable connected to a HDMI converter for pictures, and while it's not great in terms of image quality, it gets the job done.

Attached a photo and any suggestions welcome

Connect the stock cable up without the hdmi convertor to rule it out.

Looks exactly like what happens if you have BNC cables going to the wrong RGB inputs. I'd say it's your cable setup alright, your HDMI converter might be doing somett funky.

I think it might be the converter alright, the fact that the other discs work fine is really odd.

Will try this once I get custody of the tv again. Trying to run it on a monitor.

So I've it figured out, in 60hz mode it is distorted but fine in 50

Oh yeah! When I was running backups from my HDD, 60hz GameCube games were doing exactly that. Completely forgot.
