Broadband/Copper phone line

    I recently had Fibre broadband installed by Eir and 2 weeks ago I lost my phone service due to a lightning strike as did most of my neighbors with the exception of one man who lives just a short distance away having spoken to him he informed me that when he installed his Fibre he got rid of the copper phone line and now has his voice phone coming in on the broadband line which got me to thinking am I paying rental for a phone line I do not need and wondering if I can have it rectified anybody have any ideas

    You are renting a line from Éir
    They don't differentiate as to whether its fibre or copper
    It's all included in the 'bundle'
    So short answer is No
