Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

So, trained out my back garden.

Luckily I love the outdoors and work and train outdoors winter and summer, so I hit the TRX straps and kettle bells.

So my training photo and my wind up hat :D

    507542.jpg

'Keeping Makikomi great' (I know who this will wind up :P )

Cooked some turkey, didn't walk poor ol' Richo (who has cabin fever) and now going to settle down to some Netflix.

Mood is great tonight, feeling a lot more optimistic than I have over the last few days when anxiety was frying my nerves.

    Time for Ozark

In no particular order...a wherer version of big brother would star:
    Shoes
    Widders
    Seph
    Perse
    Mam
    Ted
    Cleo
    Auto
    Grem
    Panda

I would be Marcus Bentley doing the commentary. In between splitting my arse laughing!

where am i in this list :)

I am back friends. What a day! First off, the curnie cake was a roaring success - even though I made it vegan and didn't tell a soul. My dad came round just as it came out of the oven and naturally, he consumed half of it straight away. My Mammy reports the rest was gone by 4pm... I had one slice haha! I am delighted though, I worry about the two of them right now so much I am glad to deliver any joy in any form (curnie or not!)

However, I fear now I have set precedent and cakes will be expected every time he comes 'round haha!

Anything exciting happen while I was gone? P.s. I am in the Midwest Widders, did you see the sky tonight?! <3

Ehh sorry but under new ehhh boards rules you're gonna need to ehhh...make more of those cakes and we'll be your test tasters 🙄 so get baking please

Talking of cookies and ingredients I'm looking for suggestions as to what could be made using two ingredients that I have an excess of :

    1. Gluten free white bread flour mix
    2. Jars of christmas mince

@Trig, is there a decent kitchen with an Aga in the house ?

You can make some awesome museli bars - oats, dates, honey/maple syrup, your mince mix and some nuts. Whir in a blender and form bars before putting in the fridge to set. OMG you could also dip half in melted chocolate if you have some...!

Rice pudding, with a twist? YUMM!

Apple crumble with the mince, at least you could use the bread flour too, although I haven't used it much I don't know how well it would work with a crumble.

    Curnie cake/scones are always a winner. A L W A Y S !

Must try bread mix with shortening and see if it makes a crumble - Mince crumble - heh!

( come to think of it I wonder if the breadmix could be a base for pastry ? )

A lot of online bookstores have free books, if they are past a certain age you can download them for free, might be old books, but some great classics are free, I know this from my reading addict Mrs. Don't know if this is any help Purple but if it is good luck.
Watching TV and having a cuppa, time for bed soon goodnight all.
