    VAR, oh lord !

Goal ruled out for inches if that

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,077 ✭✭✭shmeee

Liverpool fan all my life, have TAA and Mane (c) but no way that should be called offside!

Have Arnold and VVD. It is a laughable decision to call that offside. They do not have the technology, speed of cameras etc. to judge decision based on an inch or 2. It is a complete nonsense of a setup and ruining football and FPL by extension.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,712 ✭✭✭Sawduck

Get rid of var it's dreadful ffs, oh and thank baby jesus for mane

No Lundstram so the fella top of our private league is going to have Lewis Dunk (3rd choice sub) come into his team with 8 points.

    Sickener.

That’s why they should just stick to clean and obvious as they are supposed to !

Souness on Sky reckons the offside should be changed that if any part of the striker is onside, then it should stand - as it would remove a lot of these decisions

Also VAR have decided that Van Dirk handball before Mane goal was inconclusive....

No Lundstram means Kelly off my bench with a 2 pointer. Also means I have 11 players

I agree but there's a whole load of football analysts constantly saying it's a black and white decision. It simply isn't as they don't have the technology. They won't admit that though as it makes a mockery of the entire process, so we roll on with VAR still essentially guessing on offside calls.

Tbh, I'd love to see the entire thing done away with. Of not, they should have little role in offside calls unless as you say it's clear and obvious that a player is offside.

Take Trent off on 60, bring Jimi on and let him score

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 48,256 ✭✭✭✭km79

There is defo something in this for wolves if they don’t concede in next 10 minutes
Expect to see Jiminez on around that time if it’s one nil

There’d still be marginal calls then whether a body part is onside or not

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,850 ✭✭✭✭Ace2007

Don't want to quote the picture but couple of pointers

Why do they cut off the defenders arms? it the ball goes in off a defenders arm, a goal won't be ruled out.

Do they go into as much detail as to when the passing player touched the ball.

The Van Dirk incident, there was inconclusive evidence that it was handball, how can they use technology that gives inconclusive results.

Traore and saiss coming on FFS
Only one change left after that

    58 min
    Dendoncker and neves off

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,838 ✭✭✭✭dahat

If Mahrez could bang in a hatty later I'd very much appreciate it. Its been a horrid Gameweek.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,712 ✭✭✭Sawduck

    Bring on jimi NOW

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Jota rarely completes games so hopefully Jimenez appears as the last sub.

More worried about this anonymous showing from captain Salah this half.

The worry is they need to make a change for some one injured or tiring elsewhere
Doherty could easily come on either

More than likely there would be less as a defender would know that any part is on, and won't take the risk. But with everything there is marginal calls.

A 2 point from Den was what I was hoping for, but, no.

    I'd take a Jimi 1 pointer now.

    Doherty warming up

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 48,256 ✭✭✭✭km79

Jota so greedy .............amazed Jiminez hasn’t been brought on for Neto yet

    Salah's not scoring today obviously.

Switched to City game, they're flat and the Etihad sounds like a library. Aguero in may have been a terrible mistake.

    Well the Etihad....

They'll get going. Still have to actually qualify for the Champions League after all.

You watching that on some stream, or is it on TV/Prime?
