    What's the story with that.

Canopy ebbed down to below 20 so I got sick of the long slow drop and dumped (of course it's back up again!).

Did you ever get into organigram? I thought that was going good. ACB.... Also trundling down.

Do you think the haze is clearing on Canada?

Ive no idea...i picked some up ages ago after I saw it being discussed here, then averaged down once or twice since, and then forgot about it.
May bank some of it while I can.

$CARV is ripping it before hours went to $23 in June and can hit $10 plus.
    $IPDN is possibly another one.

It sucks not having before hours trading, watching Carv go up and up and not able to do anything..

Yes a few BLM stocks spiked nicely on this $30 billion commitment from JPMC to support african american businesses.
CARV , BYFC and UONE were all touching double digit % gains , have pulled back since . Im going long on these . These stocks are day traders dreams with their wild swings.
Theres also the NACP ETF , I wont be touching that as its NAACP backed , I have limits. But at some point others will get into the BLM ETF buisness.
From here on in Im going to rephrase that from BLM to BMM blak mony matrs

Taking a small nibble in NAK ($1.16) Northern Dynasty Minerals .. they are sitting on the largest gold deposit in North America , but cant touch it cos the largest wild salmon river sits above it. Its all tied up in lawsuits and counter lawsuits.

Gamestop is flying again today after an announcement of a partnership with Microsoft. How high do people think it can realistically get?

Only took a small position in it myself a few months back that is well up but seems to have been going from strength to strength off the back of next gen console announcements etc

They started trade ins/ups for new Xbox S and X in the States which are crazy popular. People here are desperate to get them in their hands before Christmas but they're sold out in Ireland (or else pre order and await disappointment).

If they're doing a linkup with MS then I think they'll be rolling out the trade up and bundle packages offers over here soon.

MS must be making a mint off their gamepass subscription.

Someone here posted UMC as one to watch, probably a month or so ago, and it looks to be flying. Not sure who it was, but can anyone dig out the post? Can't find much about UMC online and I want to try determine whether there is more growth potential.

I remember that post, I took a punt on it based on the same post. It didn't give much details, so isn't worth the effort of digging it out I'll admit though ha. In terms of today's spike, they announced a September increase in sales, that rise faded quick enough across the day however. In terms of a good source of information, I find stocktwits great for smaller company's, people will post up stuff very quickly. Stocktwits is no good for the more popular companies be warned, too many robinhood idiots drowning out any useful posts.

I have been holding VMW position for years having got in at a discount, a fairly static stock for the last while but I believe once the DELL/VMware divorce happens next year it may take a turn up, will see ;)

    DELL gets a 2% gain .
I think the IBM spin off will benefit DELL. IBM seperating their server buisness creates uncertainty for customers for the next 12-18 months. Dell will take advantage of this . IBM instead of providing a one-stop shop for a customer , will now be providing 2 suppliers, one for SW and one for HW.

Personally I think its a bad move by IBM, they sold out of the PC market and look where thats gone since.

I think this (IBM generated) bump for DELL will feed into the time frame for the VMWARE selloff.
DELL is a safe place with modest gains forecast to park some dosh.

EDIT : I reread this and theres a glaring contradiction .. but what the heck ...

fwiw this is just an opinion folks, I think we are all expressing opinions here, in good faith. No one is telling anyone what to do.
NYCT killing it again early this morning, up 5%

    Morning,

Been a quiet two months for me. Not many moves made, if any, but that's starting to change.

Sold out my position in the biotech RGLS for a 40% loss, although thankfully this was my smallest position, it was a setback nonetheless.

Opened my position in Gamestop finally at a BEP of 8.80, that's paying off really nicely right now and I've set a purely short squeeze based price target of 20 dollars. I'll look to close half at this point.

Otherwise I'm still holding Providence Resources, which I'm ridiculously over optimistically bullish about. This has been making me some nice gains over the last few months and I think it has a LOT more to go. I'll be looking to open a small position in its partner LOGP today with the sold RGLS loss.

Other than that I'm still holding some other stocks in and around break even prices. I'd like to load more into these with any profits from above.

I also mentioned UpWork recently. This has also taken off nicely for a fairly safe tech market play. Still think it's criminally undervalued from a purely user point of view, it's the best product out there for professional outsourcing.

Any idea of the rationale behind the gains - I can't see any solid reason for them.

Always a good time to take gains. I can only imagine it's Trump's Superman type recovery related.

Big up to the person that passed on their friend (now also my friend :) ), who specialises in chip manufacturers, advice to look into United Microelectronics. Up approx 44%. Only sorry I didn't buy more.

The results were very good, any phase 2 that indicates progression to phase 3 is decent. No side effects also.

I'm tempted to buy more but I'd be averaging up.

For something that had no treatment previously it was a breakthrough. That it was worded in technicalities for the lay investor seems to have done for it.

............That it was worded in technicalities for the lay investor seems to have done for it.

That's the crux of it currently, and the funding into Q1 ........ folk hoped/expected some mention of funding also.

I'm confident the SP will go back to previous highs shortly and beyond them over the next 12/18 months.

    My bets this year:

    Hubspot
    Fiverr
    Pinterest
    Square
    Wix.com

Can anyone recommend a good investment platform in Ireland with low fees. In the UK I used Hargreaves Lansdowne which charged a small set fee when you transacted, i.e. if you bought X shares it cost like 11e which went to Hargreaves. They also took a certain percentage of the profit for certain tracker funds. i.e. if you bought any of the Vanguard funds they'd take a percentage (which was in the fine print).

Does anyone have any advice on what the best platform is in Ireland?

now is the time to be buying USD stocks if you can find a good one with the weak dollar

Any gains I've made in the last 2 months in EUR value are on paper not there as I have an ameritrade account and its in USD

But I see it as an opportunity to send EUR to the account now and if the dollar strenthens against the EUR it will swing back in my favour

by the way, the guy that tipped me to AMD back in 2018, has said he is seriously looking at $UMC now. He doesnt mess around when it comes to investing in these companies (he's mentioning putting 5 figures into them now), he has religoulsy stuck to 4-5 in that sector for years and has done very well from them

This was the tip for UMC.

Up 44% myself so was worth it the dig out. Cheers lex

really like the look of a small cap (<600m) bio company biocryst pharma (BCRX), currently under $4 and has many catalysts coming up such as PDUFA in December for berotralstat which treats hereditary angioedema. Should hear covid 19 phase 1 trial results for a drug called galidesivir, similar to remdesivir but less toxic and can be taken orally.

Endo International . Pharma Company recently announced its began shipping generic kuvan tablets, powder and oral solution, also at phase 3 of covid vaccine trials.

    Has anyone bought these recently?
