Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have a month left on my Broadband contract with EIR.
Can i give my 30 days notice now or do i have to wait until being out of contract to cancel without the cancellation fee?

    Thanks

Here's the documentation to switch or cease: https://www.eir.ie/switching/

I don't see, why you couldn't give them a notice for a specific date, but can not offer any experience in how they handle it.

If you are moving to a different provider that supplies broadband through the phone line, then you can switch using your uan. There may be a bit of an overlap with bills etc.

If you are looking to cancel outright, then you will need to let Eir know by getting in contact.

You should still send your cancellation to Eir .. just to be save ... that's what the switching section in that page is for.

Thanks. I am looking to switch to a different provider.
I am assuming that giving my 30 days notice now, as required, with a month to go on my contract is not in breech

Sometimes, the Sales staff will incorrectly "interpret" the contact as stating the notice cannot be given while in contact, effectivilly making it a 13 month.
