Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yeah that's a penalty. No idea what VAR are at.

Surely they would have been in for him already before he moved to United if he's that good?

Big difference between doing it in Portugal and in England. He's centre stage now and doing well.

I'm not saying he'd move, but if he continues the form it won't go unnoticed.

Did VAR review that ? That’s a joke

According to commentary VAR completed their checks

Can see why it looked a dive the first time because from the refs position it looked as if Fred was trying to buy one from Zinchenko as he couldn't see Otamendi kick. Should have been overturned on VAR.

    Clear peno, that's awful.

Not a peno nor not a dive

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,349 ✭✭✭✭super_furry

If United could find a decent final ball here, the game could already be over. Their crossing is really poor - always just behind where it needs to be.

Wasn't a penalty and it wasn't a yellow card for diving.

United the better team the last 20mins or so

He just kicked him on the shin. That's a free anywhere else on the pitch and more of a pen than the one Bruno won against Watford.

With all the money city have spent, there is'nt a single world class player in that back 5.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,103 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

Maguire is having a poor game. City not taking advantage of it at all. They were well on top for a while but didn't do anything with it.

To be fair Dinho is out of position.

Ederson is definitely a top goalkeeper.

Sterling is a shadow of the player he was before Christmas where every English pundit was calling him to be player of the year and Ballon Dor winner.

Wna Bissaka has Sterling in his pocket

Pep should ask him are you Raheem or Raheem's brother.

    Sterling has been poor alright.

He has never scored against Man United afaik, in 20 appearances. He seems to have a mental block against them, the game where DDG made a lot of saves against him in 2014/2015 sticks out in memory for me.

    Ole deserves another season.

Shocking the amount of Utd fans who want him gone.

It doesn't even look like him....

That's the point, my friend... :)

Fred was fouled. He exaggerated the fall but the only way to get the referee to make a decision in those situations. Players who stay on their feet don't get the decisions.

The push on Gomez yesterday was a prime example of this, he's definitely getting the foul if he goes down.

No idea how that isn't a pen. A lot wrong with that decision. Considering he was kicked in the shin and got booked for diving.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,304 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

    How wrong was that.

    WTF? That was onside.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,191 ✭✭✭✭Shanotheslayer

    Wow Ederson blessed

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,852 ✭✭✭✭callaway92

Was that actually offside?? VAR didn’t even try to look conclusive

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,337 ✭✭✭✭monkey9

Both goalkeepers getting lucky there within the space of a minute.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,191 ✭✭✭✭Shanotheslayer

Martial lucky not to break his kneecap. That looked seriously painful

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,337 ✭✭✭✭monkey9

    WTF? That was onside.

It looked well onside, especially considering the ridiculous goals VAR have ruled out for offside this season.

They'll probably show another angle of it in a few minutes though.

It looked very close, without getting a full replay of the lines.
Also DeGea didn’t let it in, or stop, he was just well beaten by the finish.

Ah lads I'm not one for conspiracy, but that looked onside but was too big to give.

Yeah at first, i thought he'd let it go in. But looking at the replay he was well beaten alright.

  • City getting all the decisions

    That was very odd.

Aguero looked onside in real time and played through on goal. I thought linesman were meant to leave the flag down and play on, because it would be picked up by VAR.

    The players all played on.

If Leicester dont win tomorrow they are right in a fight for their top 4 spot.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,349 ✭✭✭✭super_furry

Two toothless looking teams here really. United's goal and best chance came from Ederson and City look like a side who are out of ideas.

If linesman hadn't flagged I'm full sure var would have given the goal. Thank **** var loves utd.

Maybe I'm missing something but I really don't see the hype around Foden. Looks bang average anytime I've seen him.

United players have to get used to the runs of Fernandes. Both Martial and James could have set him up for an easy goal if they looked up instead of shooting from hopeless angles.

english. city are desperate for him to work to prove their academy/project is working. i would guess its the only downward pressure on pep from the owners

Thats twice now Fernandes got in to the right position, free just inside the box centrally coming in late for the cut back and the player with the ball took the wrong option. They have to do better there.
