Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Fans trying to make the league is weaker are kidding themselves.

I absolutely think the league is "weaker", and has been for the past 6/7 years.

But then I think that the standard of football at the top level is weaker across the board. International teams are weaker, Europes biggest clubs are weaker, there is just a dearth of quality everywhere.

Where are all the world class players? Compared to 10/15 years ago the truly great players are thin on the ground, we have a regression to the mean and a lot of solid teams but few truly great ones.

Which is how you end up with mediocre players like Harry Maguire going for world record fees. It used to be the likes of Thiago Silva or Rio Ferdinand held that title, now its Harry Maguire? The standard of defenders these days is like a microcosm of standards in general, outside of Van Dijk who else is there? De Ligt?

Just my opinion, but this is certainly no golden age.

Not sure who traore is trying to fool saying his physique is from genetics and not gym work, man is in some shape.

Angle just too tight there. Allison did well to stay up, made it a touch harder

    So greedy from Salah.

HArry Maguire is the record transfer because United massively overpaid for him. Nobody remotely considered him the best defender in the world.

    Glorious opportunity missed there.

And now Firmino at the other end

Wolves will feel hard done by if they come away with nothing. Quality team and absolutely in with a shout of top 4 this season.

First time seeing Wolves in a while, some very good players in that team.

    Liverpool’s toughest game this season

How the Wolves guy didn't see Traore completely free to his right was criminal and then Firmino makes them pay.

What's the most away wins in a season? I assume City have the record?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,495 ✭✭✭✭Mushy

Was that Robertson who booted the ball away? Probably dying for FA cup game off but ref wasnt doing it

Might marginally reduce the number of times McManaman says "X can't believe it" on commentary at least:rolleyes:

Great effort from Wolves. The win of an historic team. Dug to the core of the earth once again.

Brilliant win for the reds there. Wolves have nicked more songs off us than points.

Henderson scores and then assists the winner. Great captains performance from him.

Should be in the shake up for player of the year

Player of the year for me

Its a pity we probably won't have an invincibles season this year. Can see Klopp resting a lot of players for the champions league/FA cup now that we have the league wrapped up in January.

What can you do? Small price to pay I suppose.

    :)

Altho, I see what you're trying to do.

In all seriousness - genuine question to Liverpool fans

Invincible League or League & FA Cup?

Taking CL out of the equation as I assume if they won league and CL it would be FA cup for the treble.

I know your joking but some people think we will do that when its actually won. I don't think we will or even can, this team functions best when it has rhythm from playing regular games, we've seen it before when they have long breaks they aren't great first game back.

First game back after the winter break might be interesting!

I want the league and European cup double, FA cup and invincible would be a nice bonus.

Trophies. There isn't one for going undefeated.
