Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Chris Wilder has to be ahead of Pearson & Hasenhuttl, nobody rated Sheffield United coming and they've stayed in the top 10 for a while. At the rate they are going its hard to look past Klopp though.

Not for the January award. SU only got 4 points in the month but they lost to Liverpool and City in fairness.

    No Ole?

Played 4 lost 3 in the league, but he has won the January Transfer window probably.

Yea, but Pep fielded a strong team against them. That's got to count for something

They're such an unassuming outfit I kinda forgot about them.

They've just quietly gone about being quite good for the whole season like they've been there for years, and playing decent football as well.

After Wolves I think the game against Sheffield Utd was Liverpool's toughest this season.

If Liverpool continue with there current form it would be insanity for anyone but Klopp to win manger of the season

Big day at the top. Leicester have the chance to get within 19points of Liverpool but face a Chelsea team fighting for top 4.

Then Liverpool play Danny Ings at home to try and go 22 points ahead of both Leicester and Man City at the top.

Or is today the end of Liverpool's dominance at home? The last time they suffered a league defeat at home was back when Neymar played for Barcelona, Harry Maguire played for Hull City, Lukaku was an Everton player and Mbappe was turning heads in a talented Monaco team.

Liverpool players who have never lost a league game for Liverpool at Anfield:

    Sadio Mané
    Mohamed Salah
    Virgil van Dijk
    Alisson
    Adrián
    Oxlade Chamberlain
    Robertson
    Fabinho
    Naby Keïta
    Shaqiri

    Remarkable. We go again today.

Yes he is. He is named on the bench so not injured.

  • Great start to this game

    Great header Rudiger.

    1-1 now. Barnes. Big deflection

  • Nice

Leicester deserve that since going a goal down

Very fortunate deflection; two teams that are hard to call right now. I think Ndidi is a massive loss in this Leicester team especially for their centre backs

He’ll be back next game. Cabellero lol. 2-1 Leicester

  • Goal was coming

    Nice finish

Leicestershire go ahead. 2-1 They really are as flakey at the back as Frank Lampard's Derby were.

Well well. 2-2 (Obviously Leicestershire are a Rodgers side)

  • Excellent header
    Some power behind it too

Rudiger bullying their defence. Two great headers.

    Poor goalkeeping again.
He had plenty of time to take several steps to his right instead of going for the spectacular dive.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,611 ✭✭✭✭ERG89

Bit much grabbing the ball after the equaliser, it's not like Leicester have been pinned back the last hour.

Kante has been really poor in this game but nobody will mention it afterwards.

Has a defender ever got a premier league hat trick?

    What a miss.

Chelsea are woeful at the back.

Think that was a European game?

This has been a great game. Hope Leicester can nick a late one.

    courtesy of the internet
There are few defenders who have achieved the feat with the aid of a penalty, Denis Irwin, Fernando Hierro and – bizarrely – Gary Gillespie among them.

Staunton got one for Liverpool in the league cup, all in the second half, no dodgy penos :)

  • Think that was a European game?

You may be correct. Dr. Google may be able to clarify :P

Sinisa Mihajlovic scored a hat trick of free kicks a few years ago too.

VAR review for Rudiger handball not given, has he got away with one?

Lee Mason and Stockley Park fecked that up by the looks of it.

Another good chance for Spurs, United Wolves and Sheffield United to close the gap on fourth.

    No.

Where's he meant to put his left arm? It's down by his side.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,713 ✭✭✭This is it

Definitely no handball, madness to suggest otherwise IMO.

My goodness, Pool getting all the decisions, Shane long pushed in the back, a pass back and a corner that should have been a goal kick and we're only 10 minutes in

Robbo tried to kick it off the Saints player for a goal kick and missed him it wasn't a baltant pass back at all

Not impressed by gomes, definitely a weak link

  • Watford 2 up against Everton

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,342 ✭✭✭Bobby Baccala

Southampton have been pretty impressive. Don’t think Liverpool are fully up and running yet.

Gomes doesn’t belong in that side.

  • Gomez is brutal

    Southampton should be winning here

    And he's injured.
They pulled 2 goals back sharpish there before half time.
