Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Feels like arsenal draw every game

    Over 50% so that's understandable.

Only lost 1 more game than city and same amount as Leicester though.

7 pts from leicester, utd and arsenal is a great return for burnley just when they were looking in danger.

Arsenal prob will lose Aubemeyang in the summer.

Pepe not even on off the bench.
They'll be a mid table club for a few years.

Fancy Wolves & Leicester to build on this season. Spurs making some good signings as well.

It's a good point you can be a big club with rich owners but if you're not hungry the wolves and foxes will get you

Where would you even start with the Arsenal rebuild? It's such a bloated squad with a lack of quality in several positions.

Even areas where they might have the right players - say Bellerin and Tierney as full-backs - they're slammed with injuries so you can't even see it in action.

If Aubameyang goes, how much would they get for him? He'll be 31 in June and his contract is up in June 2021 (according to Transfermarkt). Given that those will knock his value down a little, they might be better off keeping him (unless he pushes to go) and hoping his goals can push them up a bit next time.

I like Lacazette, but he's been poor this season and accommodating him, Aubameyang, Martinelli (who looks good) and Pepe isn't possible. There's the Ozil issue, the lack of quality in midfield, the weird loan signings (Ceballos? Soares?), the poor and ageing CBs (Sokratis, Luiz, Mustafi), the young ish lads who probably aren't first team quality (Maitland-Niles, Holding, Chambers...)

It's a mess on paper. No doubt some of this lot could be very good and play a vital role in the right team but Arteta has some job on his hands.

I'd say Arteta will take his time and rebuild over two/three seasons with a youth emphasis. Patience is the key.

Wolves built on nothing last season even after qualifying for Europe which clearly frustrates their manager, right now they seem to be a hub for Mendes clients as much as the next big thing & Leicester will struggle when they have to play in Europe next season, they also might get interest this summer in some of their better players like Ndidi, Perreira & Ndidi.

Kicking the ball wide, and then going down looking for a penalty was never going to be a penalty

    Great craic this game.

    Come on you Spurs!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,740 ✭✭✭✭MD1990

Lo Celso been good for Spurs.
The rest awful. Son & Alli very poor. Mahrez & Fernandinho good for City.

Spurs must have some sort of jinx over City at this stage.

All these wrongly awarded corners are easy stop, replays can show in 5 seconds and give the award if at all in doubt..why not use it.

Cause you have people losing their ***t over VAR taking time to ensure a pen is correct. Further toys would be throw from the pram if VAR was used for wrongly awarded corners.

Did var make the decision quickly and Rielly waited an age to blow?

Or did var take ages to make the decision?

Edit: I'm reading Rielly waited for the ball to be in a neutral area so maybe VAR had made the decision quickly.

I dunno.. there is no intent to worry about or was it accidental etc.. it did or didn't touch.. should be easy

If City fail to win this, Pep will have an aneurysm.

Should be, but you’ll still have b1tching and moaning. Jose already has his script written on the ref/VAR if Spurs end up losing this.
