I think we could be bet handily here.

Cash, Sanson and Trez all start.

    Cash back.

Hard to know. Spurs good results have been against teams they should be beating handily most years, Burnley, Fulham, Palace.

Against decent teams, West Ham, Arsenal, they have lost.

I like that team. Cash will offer a lot more on right, I wonder is he paired with Trez (has built up a rapport) or Traore.

Chance for Sanson to show us what he's got

Big changes on Spurs side, 7 from Thursday- some is basic rotation but they've no Bale or Son

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,247 ✭✭✭Esse85

Not really looking forward to this.

Spurs won 9 out of the last 10 league games here.

    Our bench is terrible

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,882 ✭✭✭sc86

Sanson fouls alot and its because he is so weak on the ball

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,518 ✭✭✭matrim

Trez is so frustrating at times. He makes good runs and works hard but is just missing that extra bit of quality to get the end product you need at this level

I think the technical term is "fúck".

What was Martinez doing? Was he trying to pass it or couldn't get any power on it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,149 ✭✭✭Patser

Weak goal to concede, Martinez should be putting that into orbit. Mings unlucky with covering slide

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,247 ✭✭✭Esse85

    Garbage from the keeper.

Spurs have been atrocious, only for our blunt attacking threat, they'd be a couple down.

We have shown no quality in the final third in a long time.

Trezeguet is a headless chicken and Traore's casual attitude stinks at times.

We got a draw again newcastle , that shows where we are at form wise , easiest game in the league right now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 838 ✭✭✭rebelomar

We really should try 5-3-2 and just forget about our wingers. They're awful.

    This is dreadful, again.

I'd play Ramsey or Sanson off Watkins

Spurs must be delighted they are playing one of maybe 2 teams in the PL tonight that they could be this poor and still be winning.

We have 3 of the most useless wingers in the Pl who are about mid table championship level playing for this club in Trez, El Gazi and the totally brainless Traore. They are just complete and utter garbage footballers. Get rid of at least this summer.

This is leading to Watkins having to come out and do the job of the wingers and then of course when the ball is then ready to be crossed into the box, he isnt in there, he is out in the bloody wing.

    Sanson also has been woeful.

This Spurs side is completely woeful tonight and you can see there are issues in that camp, and we haven't even had on shot on target.

Well we haven't found any creativity or composure down the back of the sofa since the Newcastle game.

Yep and there is nothing on the bench either that would make one ounce of a difference.

Merson starting to morph into Ray Winston

Last 6 league games isn't far off relegation form.

Major clear out needed this summer.

McGinn is just all hussle and bussle and zero quality.

0 shots in the first half wow.

    Major clear out? Of who?

I wonder how much of current form is Grealish missing, or how much is that now that we're safe people are relaxing, or just purely tiredness as Smith hasn't rotated the team a lot. Watkins has played every minute for example

  • Moderators, Education Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 10,847 Mod ✭✭✭✭artanevilla

We need a miracle on the level of Watkins getting an England call up to score here.

Dean Smith will you just take Sonson off immediately.

    He is shocking tonight.

Taylor, Engels, Elmo, AEG, Trez, Barkley, Davis.

It really feels like if this match went on hours on end, we would not score. Woeful.

Only one of them is currently on the field. Current performances are to do with the manager.

How has a team trying to get top 6 not signed a back up striker in january.
    Imagine watkins got injured

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,149 ✭✭✭Patser

Some lovely play by McGinn there but absolutely no commitment to shot by Trez.

Remember last year he belted in the winner v Arsenal that started our miracle escape, confidence is just gone in him

I don't think he's been that bad. Unfortunately the ball keeps ending up on his weaker left foot.

It's to do with the overall squad over the course of the season, not the starting lineup tonight.

Current performance is down to the quality in the squad. We don't have the quality hence why I'm saying major surgery is needed again.

Its been a lot more then his crossing which has been terrible tonight.

What...... Kane steps away from ball and falls down, he milked that to the max....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,797 ✭✭✭✭JPA

Was the ball not gone out there?

He's dead right, if only we had a clever striker like that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,149 ✭✭✭Patser

That's a disgracefully soft pen, ball was gone, Kane steps into Cash, throws himself down holding wrong part of leg. Ref buys it, and Kane is instantly OK to casually stroll up.

Did VAR check it, or is that not done anymore

    No check.
It's the England captain, VAR doesn't second guess him.

It's fair to say without Grealish we've very little quality from an attacking sense.

It's so frustrating watching our wingers fail for the last 5 or 6 games and continuously selected no matter what.

Smith is a stubborn so and so at times

No he's not. Cash is right to slide to block direction of shot, Jane has no right to step away from the ball onto Cash and throw himself down. How the ref bought it......

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,247 ✭✭✭Esse85

Barkley is walking already, that didn't take long.

Look what actually happened in reality.

It's called being cute, being clever, I wish Villa had an intelligent striker like that.

    Davis having a big impact
