Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I don't mind Leeds, never had an issue with them and the last time we played them was controversial to say the least.

One player I cannot stand is Bamford, that cheating he did to get AEG sent off that game was despicable and I hope he gets no joy from us tonight.

I'm optimistic we get 3 points, certainly won't be easy, Leeds are a well drilled side who know what their jobs are, I don't think they'll take many hidings this year until later in the campaign when injuries kick in and players start to tire.

It has to be same again from ourselves, with Traore first on from the bench if we struggle to find an opening.

I'm saying 2-1 Villa and top of the league.

Couldn't give a ****e about Liverpool Lawrenson and his weekly predictions tbh.

Really looking forward to the game, still in my sick bed Patser and hoping we get a victory over Leeds tonight :)

I concur 100% regarding Bamford, he could have won an Oscar for that performance. Total wänker.

Good game this , not sure how its still scoreless

Harrison v Cash is the battle of the night, they always seem to be alone in loads of space. Cash getting little help out there.

Trez is working hard but not defending as well as last games

I want leeds to keep running there socks off. By the 60th min they will be hanging...

Just keep the ball out of the net. I reckon we will take this the second half

    No peno

Jesus we got lucky there. Bamford should have buried that.

Seen em given, seen them not...One of those you rage you don't get or if opposition get

Another great chance for Leeds, Bamford would have a hattrick if goal was 1 foot right

Riding our luck. Bamford should have buried that

    Great first half

I can see is talking second. Leeds won't keep the pace up. That's their game but they need outcome from it. Leaving the 45 with no return hurts playing that game.

Time for Smith to earn his salt now. I can see why Bielsa gets such rave reviews. Smith now has HT to show he can adjust things to counter him.

Barkley and McGinn are being bypassed by the game as Leeds are hitting the corners at speed. In contrast we're offering little width to drag their defence apart, instead Trez and Grealish are drifting in, along with Barkley and McGinn to a congested area outside their box. We need a good old fashioned winger to hit the space their FBs are leaving.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,093 ✭✭✭Patser

Ironically this is a game that could suit El Ghazi out wide, but he's not on the bench. Maybe Traore...

Oh and traditional Davis on on 75th minute to score 78th minute winner, as he offers something different to Watkins (not better, just different)

Excellent post, I'd guess you do a bit of coaching yourself and if not you should.
Cash has looked really good, played a big role in limiting Leeds chances in that first half.
If he doesn't changes you are going to concede though.

Oh I've no doubt El Ghazi wish he was playing, especially after his last encounter with Bamford

Could also do with Barkley or McGinn trying shots from outside the box, we're trying to be too Arsenal 1990s, perfect goal walked into net - instead a 25 yard blast might make them worry about what comes next (and Liverpool match showed that things can happen when you actually shoot)
