Here are the songs through to round 2, which we will start tomorrow. Thanks everyone.

And not a Cure song among them. :( You people..... *shakes head sadly*.

It just occurred to me now that nobody submitted U2's With Or Without You. For me that's the quintessential U2 song (at least from their eighties output, anyway). Also seems like REM didn't get a look in at all?

Probably hundreds of brilliant tunes that were forgotten about, such is the difficulty of picking just five or ten from a whole decade.

The Cure had more nominations than any other artist. Were they all from you, Khal?

Not at all Kolido, it kept us on our toes. Good to get through a big amount quickly, hats off to you for taking on such a mammoth game.

If the voting is early tomorrow I'll miss it unfortunately as I have to be somewhere else. But I'm sure I can trust everyone here to do the right thing when they're voting, can't I? :pac:

Will definitely be taking part in this.

Same. Surprised that Blue Monday is gone from my nominations, but equally surprised that The Jesus and Mary Chain have made it to round 2.

If you count Queens collaboration with Bowie, they have 6, most nominated artist.

Do you have stats for the most nominated songs Kolido?

My picks have been savaged as I look back too, thought it wasn't too bad initially but I've lost about half I think.

Danger Zone and Sweet Child O'Mine hurt the most, particularly the latter being knocked out by that generic poppy sh1te from Aha but ho hum I will have my revenge:pac:

Awesome work Kol. I've only been able to drop in sporadically but it's great to see it going so well

3/5 of mine made it through and my casualties were knocked out by Summer of 69 and A Kind Of Magic so I can't complain too much

Hoping to be more on it tomorrow, keep you all in line ;)

Karma Chameleon - just like it that little bit more.

Purple Rain - both good songs, but Bryan Adams had much better songs, and Purple Rain is just more epic.

White Wedding - very tough choice, sad to see either go.

Smalltown Boy - can't bear to see that xmas song go any further, so Smalltown boy wins by default for me.
