Jeez Robson must’ve been reading the Ireland thread

Serious tackle from Bobby Balacoune there :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,738 ✭✭✭✭Squidgy Black

This Balacoune fella can really tackle

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,843 ✭✭✭Utah_Saint

    Rob with a tackle...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Not even getting the lineout. Linesman wasn’t even looking at it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,079 ✭✭✭leakyboots

That's a Munster lineout. Scannell released before in touch and out off white

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,455 ✭✭✭Dave_The_Sheep

    It writes itself, doesn't it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,831 ✭✭✭P.Walnuts

Can't tackle without injuring himself, awful technique.

The one part of cooneys game which has been poor is his box kick...

He hasn't kicked a good one tonight

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,018 ✭✭✭Bridge93

Munster in big trouble here. Pack going backwards and backs trying to force it as a result

Wasn't expecting Munsters pack to be steamrolled so much.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Munster backline seems to have regressed. Throwing it to the wing like underage defence just down way behind the initial ruck.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,079 ✭✭✭leakyboots

    Really impressed by Daly tonight

For a man who I remember having a pretty decent kicking and passing game, Rory Scannell spends an awful lot of time just running into people. If that’s how Munster want to play 12 then De Allende will transform them considerably. Scannell is not very good at it.

    Scannell = journeyman

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,018 ✭✭✭Bridge93

Addison been the biggest disappointment for me for ulster. Just threw that away after tidying up Balacounes offload. Line out been crap again too

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,831 ✭✭✭P.Walnuts

Botha is a bit of empty jersey, would love to see JOD actually play his best position at a higher frequency

How is he a journeyman when he only ever played for one club? And he's just gone 26.....

What I mean by that is middling to average player.

Either Murray is a slow as a wet weak or Marty Moore is the fastest man in the world over 3m but he was miles offside and tackled without the ball.

Murray standing and complaining doesn’t help anyone though.

I just can't get over how **** the Munster attack is. No imagination whatsoever.

  • Subscribers Posts: 42,171 ✭✭✭✭sydthebeat

Everything off carbery in that passage of play was a crash.

Munster need a second playmaker, either at 12 or 15...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

    Clearly an early tackle surely.

That's not what journey man means.

Also, middling and average mean the same thing.

Personally I really rate Scannell, but don't believe he's use to full affect by Munster.

Carbery has just subtleties to his game that set him apart. The draw and give in the first half was sublime and I can’t see any other flyhalf in the country having the ability to fix and give the way he commits defenders

    Goggin lucky there

That was hilariously late from Goggins.

Apparently you're allowed to call the mark whenever.

Botha has been playing better this season.
JOD is a bit of an empty jersey himself, tons of hype, not a lot of substance it would seem.

That's what Scannell is supposed to be good at. But he isn't being used a secondary playmaker anywhere near enough.

Munster getting away with a lot from the ref.

Ulster are the ones losing the heads when they've no need

They have one. They’re using him as a battering ram.

Have you watched him this season, JOD has been excellent this season.

There’s nothing wrong with what JOD did. Ulster should chill they’re in control

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,843 ✭✭✭Utah_Saint

    Reidy lifted by the neck

Sexton won world player of the year by waiting for the last instant before releasing the ball.

He hasn't don't that since his breakout season though really

Bit of bite now in the match.

    Disagree quite strongly

3 Ulster lads on their hands over Goggin.

6/2 split is starting to kill Munster now, Goggin is drowning on the wing

Yeah I realised that after I posted it. I remembered the definition means he’s moved around clubs. But the idea that he is just biding his time until someone better comes along is what I meant by it. I know De Allende is due in but I wouldn’t mind seeing JJ given a shot at inside centre. He’s good at running the ball and is a better footballer than Scannell

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,059 ✭✭✭Sinbad_NI

    Yes. Big Stu.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,710 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

That should really be a yellow for Munster 7. Second or third time they've given a penalty away on their line.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,201 ✭✭✭troyzer

    Munster are ****e.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,738 ✭✭✭✭Squidgy Black

Stuart McCloskey has been the best scrumhalf in this game.

I was standing right at him.

The hack of that passage of play from the ref.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,018 ✭✭✭Bridge93

Having nobody either starting or benching who can play wing and then going 6/2 is incredibly negligent from Munster. Goggin been thrown to the dogs by his coaching team

Go for the jugular now. No mercy.

    McCloskey deserved that.
O’Shea is absolutely useless, flopped away from that.
