Basically Trump wants an excuse to destroy the Iranian nuclear programme to please his Israeli masters.

    No more war.
    Simple as that.

Iran was complying with the nuclear deal till idiot Trump pulled out.

Seems to be constant with them lately, do something stupid then ring or fly around trying to drum up support for it... I think a lot of the more level headed nations are starting to see them for what they are

The USA wants no more threats unless they're our threats. This lad is a simpleton. Sucker punch someone in the face then walk away saying you better not retaliate or else.

    That was a Sucker punch?

What would you call getting your proxies to fire rockets at an American air base?

The US overthrew the last democratically elected leader of Iran in favour of the corrupt and hated shah which led directly to the Iranian revolution. They then encouraged their then ally Saddam to invade Iran with the resources they supplied him with. The US are not the good guys in the Middle East.

Their nuclear program is based on energy creation. Khomeini has quite clearly expressed his opposition to nuclear weapons, having issued a fatwa against their development.

I think Netanyahu and Kushner are slipping crack cocaine or magic mushrooms into Trumps burgers.
The cnut is obviously gone totally deranged in recent days.

(Fats Pompeo seems to be eating the leftovers)

The whole thing just like Trump is a complete disaster, there are no winners here, from day one of Trumps presidency I feared he would do something like this in the middle east and I am surprised it’s taken him this long however if you look at the domestic front there’s a lot of bad noise around him with his impeachment etc and he’s coming to the end of his term so better late than never and he hopes it’ll give him a bounce in the polls however I think he may have bitten off more than he can chew with this assassination.

All that being said, the Iranians are in a very difficult spot as if they retaliate directly against Americans they will reign down fire on them with warplanes and the us could kill a lot more of their leaders etc, I can see them taking a longer approach to get revenge possibly directly at Trump and his family. Scary to think where this can all go.

Maybe Baba Vangas 2020 predictions are right...

"Also, the American President, Donald Trump, will become sick with a mysterious disease that will leave him deaf, and he will suffer brain trauma, according to the clairvoyant"

One thing is for sure Trump, Pompeo and Bolton will be looking over their shoulders for the rest of their days.

I never said they were the good guys. They are still suffering from being the first victims of CIA regime change.

Surely there's no room for brain trauma with Trump, he's only one step away from being a cabbage as it stands.

Tech didn’t secure victory in Vietnam or Afghanistan

I would not compare the Tech available to the US in the 60's and 70's to what they have nowadays... It was US tech which defeated the Russians in Afghanistan. And it defeated the Taliban, after sept 11, 2001. It kept them
defeated too, up to a few years ago, when they started to make a come back when the US started to reduce their military presence, and hand the job back to the Afghan Government. Sooner or later, Afghanistan will have to sort out it's own problems, including the Taliban. If the US had a good enough reason to "reclaim" Afghanistan.....they have the capabilities to do it.

It happened in 1953. How long are the mad mullahs gonna hold a grudge? You should be supporting us bombing London because 800 years of hurt etc. Fact is this dates back to the embassy siege when the mullahs humiliated America.

At the end of the day, Iran’s problem is that a medieval religion informs their politics and they have a secret police that suppress all forms of political dissent. They are dead last in any form of human and social development you care to mention. They are nothing but trouble.

The same Israel with a covert nuclear programme which they refuse to open to world scrutiny (or even acknowledge), and who have boasted of their ability to strike European capitals with nuclear capable missiles?

And I didn’t say the Americans were, so I guess we're quits.

Iran has been getting increasingly aggressive in its position, culminating in rocket attacks killing and injuring American personnel and what was clearly a well organised attack on the US embassy.

The US hit the monkies first, but then had the chance to take out the organ grinder himself.

It's the US which is holding a grudge, which is also Iran's main problem

What a ridiculously ill informed post. Take a look at the US. Probably one of the most unequal societies on the planet with inadequate healthcare and social protection befitting a “hyperpower”.
Look at the regimes the US has supported over the years in it’s national interests. Do you thing the American puppet the Shah of Iran didn’t have secret police? Read a book.

It's exactly like I've been saying since I first seen trump in action as a president and more evident than even to me.europe should now change its long term strategy towards the U.S. it's quite clear that the U.S is not a reliable partner and should move towards a unified military. We simply can no longer trust them and their willingness to abandon long running relationships with allies due to an unpredictable and unfit president is a eye opener. The U.K should be particularly annoyed with this.

Well you can have animosity towards them. Just don’t expect to get anywhere as a country in terms of economic development or progress if you do. And don’t be surprised if they hit your military leaders with hellfire missiles occasionally.
