Why would there be criticism of the US when they’ve acted against an international pariah. Iran is considered by the entire world to be a rogue state and that’s not going to change no matter what you think.

That not altogether true. US has lot of power so they swing minor nations to vote their way. Economically it better to team up with US then go against them. China and Russia and India have the strength to ignore the United States and vote against them. It very interesting the west sides with Saudi Arabia when they are leading sponsors of Sunni Terrorism in the middle east for decades.

We have chosen a stand, and we just ignore the horrors that have cropped up. ISIS and Al Qeada would not exist if Saudi Arabia was not supporting them with help from their western partners.  People overlook the Terrorist killings in London and Paris and elsewhere are all done by men who subscribe to a warped doctrine of the Sunni faith and those beliefs you find  its origins are based in Saudi Arabia not Iran.

No mention of their non stop murder campaign of Christians all over Africa. Christians aren’t woke enough to get sympathy from the latte sipping guardian readers and the other SJWs.

Give me Americans any day over some of the new Irish we are seeing in our country today. Amazing the way hundreds of thousands of Irish visit the US every year on holiday and maybe a few hundred visit the likes of Iran. It's almost like America is better somehow ;)
By that metric, you openly admit that Trump is making the US a worse place, and ****tier country than it was before him, as tourism numbers have been going down further and further over his presidency. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/news/us-counts-cost-of-biggest-slump-in-tourism-for-four-years/amp/

Somehow I have a feeling you will ignore this post, or try and shift the goalposts though because I get the feeling you're more interested in virtue signalling and proving loyalty than anything else. Feel free to prove me wrong though, by admitting the US is a worse place under Trumps presidency than it was under Obama, Bush, Clinton, Bush Sr and so on.

It was an assault by African/ Al Qaeda militants. The official channels are too busy with Iran and Ukraine. It probably a revenge attack, i remember reading something weeks ago the US targeted this group and killed some of its members. I did even know US military was stationed in Kenya/ Somalia still. They are everywhere it seems.

It very murky overseas policy as the US uses mercenaries from blackwater to fight unsanctioned wars.

Persians had no intentions of ruling the world haha haha. They’ve been trying since Darius the great. Thank God it is the Americans that actually do rule the world so you all have the freedom to spout off all the nonsense you want.

Exactly what you're suggesting its all God's fault, sure didn't George W Bush say that God gave him the divine power to invade Iraq and sure weren't the hijackers of the 9,11 carnage letting Gods will do its work...

The abrahamic God has his fingers in a lot of pies, thankfully im a pagan that's for sure.

So thanks to God the Mericans rule the world.

God has a lot of power hasn't he

Probably needs a separate thread. An interesting tactic. Airbases and surveillance a target. How the SAS started out in North Africa. I’m wondering will we see a more strategic response from Iran. You know what they say, it’s always a mistake to think the next war will be like the last one.

Firstly, there have been multiple mentions of that attack on the BBC, Al Jazeera etc.

Secondly, are you seriously comparing an attack by a terrorist organisation to an attack by the world's strongest military power?

Pentagon Chief of staff has resigned

Not connected with the current shenanigans. He was selected by the predecessor of the current SecDef, and has been expected to resign for some time.

    https://www.cnn.com/middleeast/live-news/us-iran-soleimani-tensions-intl-01-06-20/index.html

The announcement of the resignation was expected, but it comes as tensions with Iran are mounting.

I actually don't have a problem with them fighting isis, if you've been watching the news thousands of Iranians have died fighting them in Iraq too. American policy has created the environment for isis to form by their meddling in the middle East . They actually armed groups with links to isis during the Obama years.Do you and pearcider think America have nothing to be blamed for in the middle East?? All they brought to the region was peace and prosperity I guess

Gatling right to a degree. The killing of just one US contractor in Iraq started this mess. US then bombed Iraq- Hezbelloh sites killed over 30 guys. Later the Embassy attack came and went from there.  In Kenya you have three American dead with just a few stories discussing the attack. I just think they are busy with Iran business right now and yes it far bigger story Iranian general death. On another day Kenya attack would be important?

You really do need to read up on what is relatively recent history.

In 1953 America (Operation Ajax) and Britain (Operation Boot) overthrew the democratically elected Iranian government of Mosaddegh by way of a military coup d`éat, and handed the country over to that paragon of virtue Pahlavi (the Shah)for no other reason than Mosaddegh wanting Iran to have control over their main national asset, oil.

The Shah, and thus America`s control over Iranian oil, was overthrown in 1973 and the Americans have had the knife into Iran ever since.

As recent as 1988 during the Iran/Iraq war America recognised by satellite imagery that Iran were about to gain a strategic victory by exploiting a hole in the Iraqi defenses. They sent Saddam Hussein the location of the Iranian troop build up and Hussein used nerve gas killing 7,500 Iranians while America looked the other way.

This is the American foreign policy you are defending.

And the reason Iran builds its own missiles, looks like the US and Co. had no problem with them chemical attacks...

I myself thought Trump was actually going to be taking his troops out of the middle East for their safety and washing his hands of war etc

Didn't he suggest that Obama will start a war with Iran to get another stint in the White House.

I think the only good thing that was acceptable was the Americans and allies saving Kuwait from Sadam Hussein that was definitely a noble act of helping someone out.

Ironically I read somewhere that terrorists were putting up flags on their camps which suggested that they were the good guys and then when they got their drop off of weapons etc they'd change the flag to a terrorist group flag.

Which suggests that nobody knew who was who.

Anyone can have a collection of flags and change them accordingly

Why does every discussion on the US have to go down to childish dismissive terminology such are 'triggered'. Are you 'triggered'?
Criticising Trump for what he did is 'SJW'? It's a really poor over used catch all. Answer to the crticism or do not.

Been over this. It was 60 years ago. Should Germans be held accountable for the crimes of the nazis. The fact is Iran is a rogue state and they’ve been causing mayhem all last year. Killing Soulimani was totally justified.

People overlook that the Iranian army was eroded when the revolution started. Saddam seized advantage of that and invaded supported by the west. Worked out well for a while till the Iranians started fighting back. The Iranians then invaded Iraq, remember at this time Iraq had one of the strongest forces in the region. The Iranians got as far as the Bagahad highway and penetrated through Basra. Then Saddam starting using chemical weapons, he foresaw he was losing the war and used banned weapons to stop the advance absolutely correct. Eventually they agreed on a truce.

That's your opinion and I respect that.
But does every justification of an act of justice bring stability to the world.

If this didn't happen the other day, would as many people be interested in the fall out after this?

What's a rogue state? It was the US pulled out of the Iran deal while most of the rest of the world stayed in. It was the US backed Israel stealing land. Give me a break with your 'Rogue'.

Yes they do, they just changed their name -
    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Academi

Academi is an American private military company founded in 1997 by former Navy SEAL officer Erik Prince[2][3] as Blackwater,[4] renamed as Xe Services in 2009 and known as Academi since 2011 after the company was acquired by a group of private investors

    https://www.blackwaterusa.com/ you sure about that?

There private military contractors still in Iraq. They're probably just using different registered companies to hire mercenaries. It all same really, private armies.

America, as I`ve shown you acted as a rogue state in 1953 when they overthrew the democratically elected government of Iran and installed their own vicious puppet.
The again acted as a rogue state in 1988 being complicate in the use of never gas to kill 7,500 Iranians.
When did the US stop being a rogue state?

How would you classify a state whose leader condemns ISIS for the destruction of items of cultural heritage when he is now threatening to do the same ?

As bad of as some elements of American foreign policy were in the past, they have gone completely rogue under this present headcase.

Iran is thousands of mile from Israel sure they only support the Palestinians as a distraction from their own horrific internal politics which basically revolves around glorifying the great ayatollah and all his minion clerics. It’s an evil regime and you are supporting it.
