LOL! The biggest terrorist in the Middle East by far is the US occupation forces, they have murdered tens of thousands of Iraqi men, women & children since 2003. The US aren't dealing with a ragtag band of Jihadists anymore, Iran is a nation of 80 million people with a well-armed and highly motivated military as well as IRGC and the support of the battle-hardened Hezbollah militias in Lebanon & Syria. If a cowardly draft-dodging scumbag like Trump thinks he can intimidate the Iranians he picked the wrong country. I hope the Yanks have lots of body bags in storage, they're going to need them!
I agree with you Iran is the only nation besides North Korea with the bottle to stand up to evil Empire.

If only our European nations had the balls to do the same...the evil Empire had the gall to impose sanctions recently on European companies building a gas pipeline to Germany and the EU have not done anything in response, just taken it up the backside as usual!

Iraq is richer now than it was ever under Saddam with steady economic growth since 2003. The war and occupation has actually been good for Iraq. Otherwise they’d be still rotting under Saddam or one of his lunatic sons. But hey don’t let that get in the way of your left wing rubbish. You probably have a Che Guevara poster in your room and think countries like Venezuela and Cuba have it right.

They really must hate all that economic growth if they are asking the US to leave.

I am far from left wing but unlike you and a small number on here, neither am I that far to the right that I am unable to recognise the damage American foreign gunboat diplomacy in the pursuit of cheap oil has caused in the middle east.

I have not posted any rubbish here, just well documented facts.
I can understand that uncomfortable truths do not fit with your narrative, but if you put yourself out there spouting Rambo type rubbish you really have nobody to blame but yourself..

There's a whiff of sock puppet in this thread lots of similarities and back patting.

You're another spoofer. Stick up a link to my "quoting directly" from wiki. I never even read it but at least I do read. Unlike you.

Seriously how long are the Mods on here going to let this clown continue on with this sort of s.hite.

Oh look a left winger trying to stifle free flowing debate. What a surprise!

For the love of God , the standard of debate in this thread has gone from measured, well thought out, intelligent argument to schoolyard, tit-for-tat, uninformed daftness....

    ......just saying.

He seems willing, but far as I know it will be the republicans that will decide who gives evidence.
If so, then a load of Trump like waffle most likely on the way as to why he cannot.

Actually you're right I'd be only derailing the thread unlike your good self.

    Thanks for the suggestion :)

You're the one defending a President with better friends in Russia, China and N. Korea than in Europe or on the other side of his own country's Congress and senate.
Ronnie and John Wayne must be turning in their graves ffs.

Woman on the news there made an excellent few points: is the US military any safer now? No
Are Iran closer to coming back to the negotiation table? No

This has been one spectacular fcuk up from the US, we have trump threatening crimes against the Geneva convention, his poodles nodding in unison and more eyes across the world being opened up to the US foreign policy in the middle east and the way they operate

I've looked and cannot find anything.
Was Soleimani murdered alone or did others perish with him?

The two main guys are mentioned, but I heard footsoldiers and possibility of civilians were killed too. Seen a video of people approaching the burning cars and big bang occurring afterwards?

Soleimani's body was identified using a ring that he wore.[51] As DNA results were still pending regarding the identification of those killed, a senior Pentagon official stated that there was "high probability" that Soleimani would be identified.[52][53] Ahmed Al Asadi, a spokesman for the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), confirmed the deaths of Soleimani and Muhandis.[47] Ayatollah Ali Sistani's office claimed that among the casualties were several commanders who defeated Islamic State terrorists.[54]

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated that a total of ten people were killed. Along with Soleimani, four other IRGC officers were also killed: Brigadier General Hossein Pourjafari, Colonel Shahroud Mozafarinia, Major Hadi Taremi and Captain Vahid Zamanian.[55] The remaining five casualties were Iraqi members of the PMF: deputy chairman Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, chief of protocol and public relations Muhammed Reza al-Jaberi,[56] Mohammad al-Shibani, Hassan Abdul Hadi and Heydar Ali.[57]

Chief of protocol and public relations - that sounds like a non-combatant to me.

The USA's definition of terrorism is 'premeditated, politically motivated violence perpetrated against noncombatant targets by subnational groups or clandestine agents.'

So I guess it wasn't an act of terrorism because it wasn't done by a clandestine agent? Important distinction?

Give the man a break - I reckon he's been preoccupied of late with the fine details concerning the proposed manned mission to Mars.

I expect he's computing trajectories and estimating orbits as we speak and perhaps didn't quite hear his advisors correctly when they bothered him with mundane terrestrial matters.

Not just any Chump can do his job you know.

So it appears the US are denying issuing the Iranian foreign minister a visa, preventing him from speaking to the UN.
