Ask yourself what would America do if Iran assassinated one of their generals on foreign soil..

Soliemani was a terrorist, not comparing like with like.

Some on Twitter are saying the US has scrambled F-35s from the UAE.

These things will fall apart on the way

I thought TDS had peaked with leftists hoping for an American recession, but now they're cheering on terrorists, unreal.

Doesn't look like any patriot missiles defending the base

This is the mad mullahs last throw of the dice. They had to recently kill 1500 of their own to suppress the moderates.

    Their time is up.

Such delusions. This strengthens the hardliners in Iran.

If there are no casualties and Trump doesn't respond you'd like to this this could be de-escalated. But not sure the likelihood of that. Does Trump really want war with a country he supposedly thinks is developing nuclear weapons? You know he wouldn't try this on North Korea

Cruise missiles are very hard to defend against.

American Joe Public will get an awakening, in their eyes Iran is a slum with no weapons. Twitter is a cesspool of people saying to flatten the place.

The far side of the Atlantic is a scary place.

Think that's it after the second wave.
Iranian will leave it there unless US forces strike again.

When Sadam Hussein was killed, that ended the Iraqi threat to Iran...and now Iran is making sure that Iraq will never be a threat to them again.. ( or trying to )

Not that anyone has actually had a lot of experience dealing with cruise missiles

This has been provoked, simple. A person can easily dismiss Iran as 'terrorists' because it doesn't fit into the narrative which they believe in.

There will be retaliations for this obviously and it does have that strange feeling I had in 2003 about it, that sort of uneasy feeling. Except back then it was lies pushed by this so called 'coalition', this time it seems like it's all essentially on one person.

We are also in the social media age of course, news and information/misinformation will come thick and fast.

I'd say there will be waves of proxy attacks, which leads me back to a point I made earlier :

Is the US mitary safer after assassinating Suleimani? NO
