    Things change often for the worse. I do recall some severe stuff and stabbings happened. Just because it's the past doesn't mean it was all fisty cuffs.

    It's not about skin colour seemingly. So it's a thread about a gang of lads fighting. Fights outside chippers, taxi ranks. Unfortunate but hardly national news.

    Gangland is obviously an issue in Ireland but they generally tend to kill each other so nobody minds really.

    These latest attacks seem a real threat to the general public, so obviously people are more concerned.

    A scrap in a nightclub is nothing new. But needing up to 20 Garda cars and helicopter to control violence suggests it was more than just a scrap. And now in Artane, 20 people attacking a kid is just wrong.

    At the very least it illustrates a complete failure of Multiculturalism and particularly Integration

    African origin gangs, aping (by their own admission) London gangs, copying their accents, music, dress sense etc
    Absolutely nothing remotely recognisably Irish whatsoever. Vast majority of gang members are black with a token white in the mix, so much for integration..theres no integration at all here.

    But I guess this is what 'Multiculturalism' really means isn't it?

    thats a lot of incidents in a short space of time involving a group who make up 1.4 percent of the population .
    factor in the mini riot in mullengar xmass eve and add another .7 percent and at that point is not racist its just a statistical proof with evidence

    Lots of Garda outside the Vicat Street a few months back too, couldn't figure out who's performing - either a vegan acoustic singer or a rapper from Nigeria.

    Youths fighting, low income youths fighting, getting into criminal activity is nothing new. A few newcomers in similar situations engaging in same means what? They are integrating?
    People of a certain ethnic grouping tend to flock together especially when they are a minority. Happens all over the world all the time. It's human nature. And gangs do like wise.
    If you are suggesting 'multiculturalism' means zero crime you must live in a fantasy land. It's a wonder any Irish ever commit any crimes on other Irish people, them being the same culture like...

    The Nigerian rapper was up in lillies, sure didnt they riot after it.

    Good point well made.

    Incidents with predominantly black young adults , off which there are many should be open to discussion just as incidents involving white skumbags should be. Pretending it's not an issue or shutting it down because someone adopts the default position of 'that's racist' is buryi6 their head in the sand or has an agenda. Skun is skum

    the only major incidents of large scale violent disorder over the last two weeks involved travellers in mullingar and black gangs in dublin and a Nigerian guy in cork

    thats not race baiting that a actual provable fact , didnt you see the video evidence ?

    its some stat considering that between them the consist of just over 2 percent of the population

    Again, if these people that are being referred to as "new Irish" are acting in the same way as local white kids in the same housing estates and post codes, how are they not integrating? They surely have fully integrated and taken on our culture in its entirety.

    When people were sold the idea of Multiculturalism, ethnic gangs battling each other on the streets was not part of the deal was it? As another poster said, this was predicted some time ago but those who correctly predicted it were denounced as racists.
