I think part of the reason the Baileys haven't really grabbed the audience is that since they arrived all of their dramas (the racist contractors, the baby saga, the other baby saga, Michael's stupid businesses, James coming out, this new crap with ANOTHER Corrie uncle-father) are entirely self-contained and none of the family members have much interaction with the neighbours even before the pandemic. So whenever we get scenes with them it's like we've changed the channel to another show entirely.

You have a worrying amount of posts complaining about this type of thing. I think it would be much less realistic if they pretended racism wasn't something black people encounter a lot of the time

Not my fault if the writers take any opportunity to throw it in there...They have to include coloured actors , but they dont have to include racism.its their choice...

Why would they ignore it? It's a topic that needs treatment just like any other in the soap. And the term 'coloured' is very telling

Well there’s no fear of that happening EVER...

And they do not a worrying amount of posts about this, that their opinion and they are entitled maybe it’s worrying how u so easily accept it is racism...

Why is it also the same two races that are always involved in these storylines? Why can’t they do a racism storyline involving other races.

Whenever a black person or family come into a Soap you're always going to get a racist storyline. They love playing the race card.
