Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Jesus Christ!!! We get it Corrie, there’s Corona Virus around. Talk about something else please!

I think they're doing a great job, they're not talking about virus too much. Anyway the virus is a big deal, and it is only mentioned occasionally.

Adam has a seriously thick unruly mane of hair..it never seems to look nicely styled..just looks like he's been plastering it with gel to try and flatten it. Maybe he has a barber phobia....he likely spends hours at it in the mornings and frequently ends up slamming the bathroom cabinet door in tears of frustration..after flinging the pointless tub of gel into it.

They’re only mentioning the virus occasionally but every conversation seems to be a virus topic. Between Ryan talking about his grandad walking between the trees, Sally talking about finding out what’s really important about life and the conversation outside the Salon. There was very little actual story

Every conversation in 'real life' eventually mentions the Plauge! What do you want, do you want them to ignore it?.... Sad to say but this is the 'new normal' :(

Ah I understand that but I’m watching telly to get away from that. I don’t mind them alluding to it but I think it’s just being done in a very panto fashion. Anyway I’ve dragged this thread off on enough of a tangent

I think it's coming across as a bit fake too. Like from no mention at all to constantly bringing it up.

I don’t think it’s coming across as fake, there probably isn’t hardly a day goes by that I don’t talk about the virus in some shape or form.

Did they explain the time jump or ignore it?

I think they are dealing with the virus great to be honest.
    Sally in her Marigold gloves.
Geoff saying somebody sneezed on him.
    More people paying by card.
Jenny getting stuff in for Rita and she being a little awkward about what she wants.
    People talking outside.
I have to say I'm impressed with it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,004 ✭✭✭Ann22

I think it's because it went from no mention when the rest of the world were taking about little else to a lot of references to it all of a sudden. I know it can't be helped as episodes were already filmed.

I think it’s far more realistic than Emmerdale not mentioning it at all now. They had the special two character episodes but it hasn’t been mentioned since.

At least they are filming and I'm very grateful for that. I look forward to Coronation Street now whereas before I didn't know what days it was on before. I only watch CS and Fair City soaps. They still don't have a date for going back as far as I know. I don't know what they are waiting for at this stage.

He should go and see Maria and get the hair sorted and given her track record with men he might get an "extra" thrown in !!!

Her character is beyond ridiculous. She is nothing more than the local bike.

I feel like Adam was possibly seeing Maria around the time she was seeing Aidan behind Eva's back. I think she might have used him to try and make Aidan jealous.

I was about to say the same. I’d say we’ll be watching 20 years from now and she’ll be just like Gail.

And yet the only young male character with whom I think she has any chemistry as a character is David, one of the only guys she hasn't slept or tried to sleep with.

I think she has a brother/sister like relationship with David, far more so than her actual brother Kirk.

Craig/Colson has opened up a lot of opportunities for himself now. They can give him a bit of romance, Love/Hate - Nidge/Moynihan stuff with him and Gary. :D

Fair play to the lad anyway.

In fairness, why should he believe Sally over his own father? It’s going to be some rude awaking for poor Dim.
