55" TV recommendation
Options
-
06-01-2020 10:37amHi,
My parents 6 year old LG tv went boom at the weekend!
I'm looking for a recommendation for a 49" to 55" replacement. I think 55" are better for processing speed etc but 49" will do if the model is better?
They have had Sonys before and were happy with them but not completely brand loyal so if there is a better model from a different manufacturer that you recommend, this is fine. Looking for something in the region of €700 to €800 budget inc delivery.
Any recommendations?
Thanks,
Paul1

Slight change of plan. Folks are taking my TV and I'm getting the new one!!
I'm happy to go for either the LG or Samsung. It will be used for ordinary TV viewing; mostly sport and movies etc.
3 last Qs:
Is the Samsung worth an extra €80 over the LG? I know nothing about TVs but would like something to last a few years.
What does your 6 year guarantee cover?
Finally, how long to deliver to Drogheda?
Sorry for all the Qs. I've always bought in store but know you guys have a great rep here.
Many thanks,

In my opinion the Samsung QLED will give the better image and is the newer technology but the Nano cell LG is also a great television.
Our 6 year guarantee covers any manufacturing fault, parts and labour but does NOT cover accidental damage.

The 55Q60 is in very short supply but I do have a few here at the store I can dispatch. This would ship tomorrow or Thursday and delivery would be at the start of next week.
The 55SM8600 is also in stock but would ship from our main warehouse. if it shipped tomorrow it should arrive with you on Friday.
Our courier will drop you a text and confirm this up once it has actually shipped.0 -
Thanks Kenny,
Order placed for the Samsung. I appreciate that it will probably be delivered next week but it would be great to have it for Liverpool v Spurs on Saturday ;)
Thanks for your patience and advice,
