A favourite question of mine at times of manufactures drama is always "Cui Bono?"

If he is not a Manchurian candidate, he is doing an incredible impression of one!

It's designed , like everything else he says or does , to get him what he wants or what he thinks will benefit him the most.

In this case , it's getting the economy open again - Not because it's the right time , but because he needs it open now as he attempts to be able to have a "good" economy for his election campaign and by most reckoning , it's the state of the economy in the 2nd quarter of an Election year that has the most impact on voter intentions .

He has absolutely NOTHING else to run on.

But , the thing is even if he could re-open the US economy in the morning , there is absolutely zero chance of a recovery before November - The rest of the world will still be in various stages of lockdown for another few months and the US economy was a stiff breeze away from recession even without Covid19.

Last week he was patting himself on the back for the biggest stock market rise in a week (a four-day week no less, due to Good Friday) since 1938. Of course, that's due to the huge freefall it had had in the weeks prior, so something of a bounceback wouldn't have been unexpected after a few weeks of an actual response to trying to stop the virus.

It'll be the same in November. No matter what, if the numbers are higher than they were a few weeks ago (even if it doesn't get to where it was before it started dropping), he'll proclaim it a huge success, all because of him. Because he's responsible when it goes up, but never when it goes down.

Expect microphones been pulled from journalists during Trumps propaganda show, they have it outside and typically they use microphones outside with the journalists and they are often pulled away from journalists so there's no follow up questions

WHO funding suspended pending review conclusions ...meh means nothing really. They'll be denied a couple of hundred million at most which they'll either have in reserve or will make up from the EU etc.
