Didnt know that he had planned another rally so soon. They wont want a repeat of last nights half empty arena but cancelling it now would look equally as bad, it would be like them admitting defeat to Covid. Would imagine the Trump campaign is scrambling right now to find 20,000 people who they're certain will show up and risk their health. If he doesnt fill the next one it will be yet more writing on the wall.

Has he got a full schedule of rallies already announced or is Arizona as far as it goes?

It's been reported that John Bolton has said he will vote for joe Biden.

Maybe, it's been discussed previously in the thread but how can the trump administration claim that boltons book be both lies and classified information ? To me it can't be both. Either it's lies or it classified, it can't be both.

While the judge decided not to block publication, basically because the book is already out there, he was quite scathing of Bolton's decision to proceed before the vetting process was finished. He suggested that Bolton is in some legal peril now, as he is open to being sued by the Government and could, if he loses be jailed or forfeit his entire book advance, or both. The judge , having reviewed the information which the DoJ held is ckassified, intimated that he also felt that Bolton had blundered. So, there's a legal case in Bolton's future, no matter how well the book does.

On the question of the both lies and classified, a book can easily contain both. One para may be a tissue of lies. The next para may contain information that is true, and is classified. I think the mistake his gang have made is to allege that it's is all lies and at the same time all classified.

Regarding Bolton's statement about voting for Biden, that's the last thing Joe needs right now. Although he won't, Joe should tell him he would prefer not to have any of Bolton's pathetic support at any point, including his vote.

I think AZ comprises a border control visit in Yuma and a "Students for Trump" rally in Phoenix involving around 3,000 ppl.

Yeah, but I nthe other hand he is old, fat, out of shape and clearly in very poor health. I'm not even certain Trump will physically make it to November considering Biden is able to run uo the ramp he was barely able to daintily stumble down.

Edited to include: just saw he's planning on visiting the wall construction in arizona. Them immigrants are a useful enemy but don't think it'll be enough.

If anything, villifying minorities could proved disastrous right now, with not only US soccer, the NFL, etc now openly siding with the protesters (along with college sports - the NCAA have told Mississippi that championship games are banned in their state until/unless they change the rate flag, which is a massive blow to their state economy if you follow college sports), but even NASCAR of all places have jumped on it along with seemingly every corporate entity in the US.

Right now, Trump really does have more or less absolutely nothing.

Okay I just need to get this Wall thing clear in my head. I was under the impression that the border fence work was renewal/repair of what was already there and not anything new.

I think it's 90 miles of repairs, 3 miles of new fence. 2,100 miles to go.

except that John Bolton and his layer have said they they competed the review process and the career person never asked for more removals. So the vetting process was complete. Information embarrassing to a president has been ruled as not being a valid reason to block a book.

It's also worth noting that while Trump won Oklahoma by 37% in 2016, he only won Arizona by 3.5% and is 4% behind Biden there by 538s aggregation.

Worse again for him is that Arizona is a small bit ahead of the 'turning blue' curve noted in some states like Texas, and if it is any reflection of their trunl approval, Democrats won more seats there than republicans in 2018 (5-4) in the House while electing a Democrat as senator (Sinema). The other senator (McSally) was not voted in but instead given McCain's seat after he died which was hugely criticised including by McCain own daughter and labelled anti democratic (kind of a feature of the modern republican party to be fair). She has one of the lowest approval ratings of any sitting senator (compared to Sinemas +14) and is strongly expected to lose her seat to Democrat Mark Kelly in November.

Basically, Arizona is a long, long way from the 'safe place' it historically night have been for Republicans.

It does have close to double Oklahoma population which Trump will want to hope plays in his favour in terms of just filling seats (he would get trounced in NY or CA but could probably get a good few thousand into a rally for example, just due to sheer population), but as noted the severe uptick in that damn Democrat COVID hoax could hurt that too.

It could be even more brutal than last night, is what I'm saying.

The judge handling the case, with access to all the materials, came to the conclusion I reported. If he concluded that the process was not completed, after hearing arguments from both sides, and viewing the material alleged to be classified, that's good enough for me until it's proven either right or wrong in a future case, assuming the DoJ chooses to prosecute one.

On balance, for me the judge produced a sound decision. And the book's widespread publication goes ahead. If it's publication then leads to a criminal conviction for Bolton whereby he gets jail and/or forfeits proceeds, I'm up for that. It couldn't happen to a 'nicer' guy, and most Democrats and Republicans would probably agree.

In fact, it's gas that Bolton might actually be a catalyst for drawing fire from all sides and actually bringing them together in common purpose... A bit like Comey but a thousand times more polarizing.

    .

Mc Sally is absolutely goosed no matter what happens next few months.

She is one of those politicians that is more popular with donors than actual voters. She ran a pretty rancid campaign in 2018 and lost , terrible call from Mitch to give her that seat.

Bolton has made it clear he was misquoted.

He will not vote for Trump, but he also won't vote for Biden.

He says he will write in the name of a suitable "Conservative Republican" instead.

Doesn't matter that he won't vote for Biden, it was never going to happen.

What it telling is that increasing numbers of very conservative Republicans are stating that they won't vote for Trump.

To my mind, the fact that he has said that he won't vote for Trump is more than enough - we're all guessing what these people are like to a large extent.

Not Bolton though. He knows Trump, and is in the same political party as him - and still won't vote for him over the opposite party's candidate. That says it all.

This a copy/paste from Reddit where user Supreme_Kreme lists all the reasons to despise Donald Trump as POTUS,
    The main problem with trump

Trump has had no prior political experience, went bankrupt 6 times and has many failed businesses, paid off a porn star to keep quiet, has over 24 harassment allegations, has had 2 articles of impeachment drafted against him, illegally contacted Ukraine to help him win re-election, has the most hours of golfing over any president, has done nothing to help our dying climate, botched the coronavirus response because he called it a hoax by the democrats instead of acting quicker, has never had an approval rating of over 45 percent, the whole Central Park 5 incident, thinks climate change is a Chinese hoax, told POC to go back to where they came from, throws meltdowns on Twitter, constantly retweets himself agreeing with himself, has had tweets flagged for misinformation, signed an executive bill regarding Twitter after his feelings got hurt, has increased our debt, hasn’t pulled out of any wars, adbandoned the Kurds, is really fat with a spray tan, has US pride at an all time low, has 10 cases of obstruction of justice per the mueller report, used George Floyd as an excuse to brag about job numbers, wanted to use violence against peaceful protestors, has done nothing to solve the wealth gap or poverty rate, has increased our debt, is fat and has an ugly spray tan, said he would date his own daughter, talked about fake treatments during a corona press conference, used to be an anti vaxxer, violated an official weather map with a ****ing sharpie, all the **** in john Bolton’s book, said that cases would disappear if testing stopped, has a Vice President that can’t say “black lives matter” only “all lives matter”, falsely claimed there’s an AIDS vaccine, loves himself but has little empathy for others, is a complete asshole to reporters, made fun of someone disabled, the “grab by the pussy” thing, wanted to nuke a hurricane, thinks windmills cause cancer, has told over 19,000 false claims, talked more about him on a ramp than George Floyd, wants burning the flag to be a crime, called the coronavirus the kung flu, and has done nothing to help the average American

I have to say seeing Trump get have the helicopter all down and looking like he had just been in a fight and lost made my day yesterday. I had a big smile on my face. I hope he gets used to it as he is going down. Hopefully he will have more empty rallys like that. The simple fact is over the last 5 months he has shown that he has absolutely no idea what to do or how to even try and act as a president. He never should have been there. He never deserved it and hopefully the American people have finally woken up and seen what a nasty, vile human he is. GO JOE BIDEN.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

I certainly don't think this is the way it will go in the future.

The crowd size is not that big of an issue, getting over 6k people out five months ahead of an election which many don't tune into until much closer, combined with the C19 and the economic realities that many are facing (massive unemployment means people don't have money for road trips or days out).

The real issue is that of perception and expectations. Trump and his associates had, as usual, built this up to be the return to the campaign trail. That Trump had been locked up away from the rea people for months and this was his chance to finally get around the MSM and speak directly to the people (which of course is complete nonsense).

Biden would be happy with getting 6k in a crowd. Not overly excited, but not too disappointed. I fully expect many Trump supporters to find a way to get to the next rally, and certainly ones in the future. They will have seen this as being 'owned by the libs' and that is reason enough to fight back.

Trump will drive it up based on the MSM and the radical left being out to get him and the 'silent majority'.

What has to worry Trump is that if, as seems very likely given the numbers and his total inability to deal with C19, could mean that the economy stays rooted to the floor, people stay away, and people are more focused on themselves and only look at politics closer to the election by which time they have lost all support for the man responsible.

On the other hand, as we have seen in recent weeks, the 'fight back' against the polls, against fraudulent mail in voting etc will be ramped up so that if the above does happen they will look to either call off the election of massively reduce the ability of people to vote.

Trump tweet of the day. @realDonaldTrump. RIGGED 2020 ELECTION. MILLIONS OF MAIL-IN BALLOTS WILL BE PRINTED BY FOREIGN COUNTRIES, AND OTHERS. IT WILL BE THE SCANDAL OF OUR TIMES!

He followed it up with Barr: Mail-in Ballots "Absolutely Opens The Floodgates To Fraud" https://t.co/vd4AD3EPb0 via breitbart1News. This will be the Election disaster of our time. Mail-in Ballots will lead to a RIGGED ELECTION!

Cant wait to hear the White House reply to questions about Trump and Barr's knowledge of which countries would rig a U.S presidential election.

Now I couldn't copy letter to letter the breitbart address, specifically the TWO figures before the t.co so I used two forward slashes/oblique strokes instead. The link is to a Sunday FoxNews interview of Barr including reference to Mail-in ballots & rigged election.

I've seen what appears to be a direct lift of his 1st tweet on F/B but it doesn't have the little blue bird top right of page, just a yes tick on blue beside his photo & name so I'm not sure its genuine.

As others have said ,it was a disgraceful appearance (reminded me of the "circling over Shannon")

I wonder what caused it specifically as it is the first time we have seen such a look from him.

I had a big reply written but accidentally hit the wrong button.
I think and hope Trump will lose the election. He has shown over the last 4 years and especially in the last 5 months he has not got a glue and I think Americans are finally realising it.
He has less supporters now and does not have FB or Twitter to post his fakepoliticle agendas anymore either so hopefully he will lose a real President some one who cares about his people and the World will get into the office.

What bugs me more than anything do is it's so obvious that Trump hates doing it. He is just embarrassing himself. He has no interest in even trying to act Presidential so why do it again. He had his fun. Why would he not just except he is and never was presidential material and let someone who really wants o do it and deserves it do it.?

    Live long and Prosper

No way, Trump loves being POTUS. As in he loves having the power and status that the position entails. He could do without the responsibility, though.

They say that with great power comes great responsibility but Trump has spent the last 3 and a half years trying to subvert that by blaming all his potential failings on the political left of the USA as well as certain media outlets who, to hear him tell it, constantly misrepresent what he does and how he does it.

And so, it continues but gets worse!!! The downward spiral into Orban- style suppression of democracy goes ever deeper into the abyss.

Realisation has finally dawned that he can no longer rely on a legitimate election to return him to power. Simply because he can't command enough votes. So now, the bogey man of "rigged eldctions" gets trotted out and shamelessly amplified by Barr and Bartimoro acting as their 'state TV' propagandist. Hand in hand with this will be even greater efforts to suppress voting and make it impossible for people to vote Biden. The outright war on mail in ballots will become more intense. Sure, it's grand for Trump, McEnany, Conway and even Derek Chauvin to vote in one State while living in another.. They're entitled! But any non- whites in Florida, Georgia, Oklahoma, Alabama or Arkansas? Nope! They can't be trusted and the process will be overrun by foreign Governments and their hackers!! But, which Governments? By what process?

Madness hiding as faux outrage from a swampful of grifters who are only now seeing the writing is on the wall! As the old saying goes... Beware the dying wasp... Their final stings are the most painful and dangerous!!

100%. I look to Ted Cruz for this kind of craven behaviour: the man's wife was publicly insulted and humiliated by Trump, Cruz's father accused of being a conspirator in JFK's assassination - yet when the Primaries ended, Cruz manned the telephones to boost for Trump like a lapdog.

At the best of times, the party whip is an arguable affront to parliamentary democracy, but it was never more blatantly perverse when the winner was a vulgar blowhard who openly mocked those who'd otherwise play the game.
