I would prefer we had a higher standard than the US president given how low a bar it is.

What you would prefer is irrelevant. Trump is a creep yes. Joe is a bit creepy. Clinton was fúcking horrible yet people love him.

So no, Ill refer to Biden how I like thank you. Come November it'll be "loser". A 78 year old loser at that. Its amazing to me that they keep running the same candidates who have already been rejected. People see Biden as an Obama/Clinton era guy. What are they thinking?

He hasn't a prayer. They should be planning for 2024 now and accept 4 more years of Trump.

Nonsense. Polls had Buttigieg beating #IMPOTUS in the election. Biden or Bernie will destroy him. Marianne Wiiliamson could beat him.

If Biden loses this one, I can envision that the Democratic plan in 2024 will be to run a 76 year old Clinton.

    Polls. lol.

How exactly will any of those 3 beat him? Because you want them to?

Wouldn't surprise me at all. The dems just cant seem to understand this. They still don't know how Trump got in.

So a 78 year old Biden is probably going to get the nod. Remember the venom spouted at McCain about age? He was a youthful 71 at the time.

Love your confidence but lets be realistic, anything can happen between now and then. Only a fool thinks a Dem walks into the White House.

Won't be a walk but 2018 and recent tesults, e.g. Maine flipping a long time rep seat to Democratic last night show the Anti-Trump wave is still rising. Ignore polls at your own risk, theyve been pretty accurate of late. It'll be both houses and ,Potus when the elections over.

    Which people is that?

The people that just voted for him across multiple states in the Primaries?

This election will not be won by putting one "reactionary" against another. Sanders winning California by a massive landslide is meaningless if he can't win the swing states.

This election will be won by shifting those middle ground voters who either didn't vote or who "held their nose" and voted for Trump in those key swing states.

None of those will "hold their nose" and vote for Sanders , but they will for Biden.

Bernie Sanders cannot win in November , I believe that Biden can.

An NBC exit poll showed the following
Six in 10 voters in today’s Democratic presidential primaries care most about nominating a candidate who can beat Donald Trump in November, according to the NBC News Exit Poll conducted in 12 of 14 Super Tuesday states across the country. These voters favor Joe Biden over his more liberal rival Bernie Sanders by a margin of 36 percent to 25 percent.

To me that shows that Democrats are learning , in the past there was a tendency for Democrats to be far more rigid in their voting preference and choosing not to vote at all rather than voting for a candidate that they didn't align 100% with.

Now it seems that they recognise that winning is more important than ideological purity, at least for this election cycle.

As someone here said if Jesus Christ himself ran on Dem ticket, Trump supporters would call him terrible candidate because he spent too much time helping poor people and is a socialist at heart.

They were all democrats. Like, actual members of the party. The choice was democrat vs democrat vs democrat.

    Warren. Shes fantastic.

Biden is a disaster and the Democrats won't let Bernie in. Hes far too left for America anyway.

Frankly, it sounds like two posters that are miffed that Biden is getting the nod and it wasn't Bernie.. who coincidentally, is the candidate Trump wanted to run against.

By electing Obamas VP? The administration that lead directly to Trump being president?

Why do you think Biden can beat Trump exactly?

Wasn't there a poll that showed Bernie supporters are far less likely to vote for the next Dem candidate of Bernie doesn't get the nomination? Hence Trumps narrative the the DNC are screwing Bernie, he wants them disaffected and apathetic. That could be a problem for Biden.

It was Hilarys fault when she was running. It will be Bidens fault when hes running.

And the electorate will believe it.

Shocking lack of empathy on these forums.

Biden is a recovered stammerer, ten minutes of learning into the treatment of the affliction will explain his unusual speech patterns and how they would continue to affect anyone post treatment

Doesn't seem to hinder the gibbering fool in the Whitehouse, but as has been said before, different rules and standards apply (i.e, some V none).

You'd be hearing more about Hunter Biden no matter what his father's political fate was.

Gulliani gone very quite, he must be turning over every stone in the Ukraine. With no sense of irony I look forward to the nepotism charges from the Orange one.

Rubbish, If Biden was to drop out you would never hear of Hunter from Trump again.

But, how can you as a Trump supporter possibly be against using name and family links to get ahead? It makes no sense whatsoever.

Trump used the office of POTUS to try to push his daughters clothing business. He openly stated that he wanted Trump hotel in NK.

I don't understand how you can have such a hypocritical attitude. I applaud you for wanting to see corruption rooted out, but that means all corruption.

    Do you folks ever listen?

Trump only brought up Hunter Biden because (as he said on the call) there was a lot of 'talk' and what he was referencing was allegations made by others (many in Ukraine). Trump didn't dream it all up. Check my previous posts on the topic for multiple articles making that patently clear. I know the contingent on here liked to refer to all that as a "right wing conspiracy theory" but it is far from that but then sure isn't everything a right wing conspiracy theory when it doesn't tie in with the democrat narrative, including FISA abuse and FBI bias resulting in unlawful actions.
But, how can you as a Trump supporter possibly be against using name and family links to get ahead? It makes no sense whatsoever.

lol. You're labelling what Hunter Biden got up to as merely using family links to get ahead? :P

A crackhead who started earning millions from sitting on the board of one of the most corrupt companies in Ukraine, coincedently just as his father was the US Vice President tasked with tackling corruption in that country? The chap was trying to pull strings for Zlochevsky with the US state Dept ffs. Wake up.

But I understand the pretense that the interest had stopped as now y'all can say: Hey look, suddenly Joe Biden's the front runner and whaddayaknow but Trumpers are interested in Hunter again!! Truth is none of this has EVER gone away. Republicans in Congress have not stopped working on getting an investigation into the Bidens for one second and they won't stop either.

  • Registered Users Posts: 15,617 ✭✭✭✭Leroy42

So you have degrees of corruption, is that your line. If he had not had a coke problem would that make it ok?

I have very much listened. Do you really believe that this was Trump setting out to rid Ukraine of corruption, when he himself was trying to leverage the POTUS office to get what he wanted? Is that not corrupt in of itself?

But to believe that it wasn't politically motivated, then please share with us the rest of the cases that Trump is currently pursuing in Ukraine against other Americans? Because that would prove that Biden merely happened to get caught in the net.

As for Hunter, as far as I am aware he has never been charged with corruption has he? So whilst of course Trump didn't dream it up, he merely took a conspiracy and ran with it. Much like HC Ukraine deal, and plenty of others.

I of course don't expect you to have even the slightest issue with anything Trump or his family do, because you aren't interested in right and wrong, only which team is doing it.

This about sums up the liberal media ....

    Four weeks ago:
"Republican Senators Chuck Grassley and Ron Johnson on Wednesday announced a probe into Hunter Biden, the former veep’s son, “and his associates during the Obama administration,” seeking to uncover what they described as business conflicts of interest with Ukraine and China. Lindsey Graham and Ted Cruz sounded their approval. “You should expect us to do this,” Graham said Wednesday. “If we don’t do it, we’re letting you down.” Added Cruz: “I’d like to see the Judiciary Committee investigation. I’d like to see Foreign Relations investigation. I’d like to see the Department of Justice investigate."

The very same publication today :p
REPUBLICANS ARE SUDDENLY INTERESTED IN HUNTER BIDEN AGAIN

"On the morning after Joe Biden won big in South Carolina, Senator Ron Johnson threatened a subpoena tied to the younger Biden’s work in Ukraine"

Haha, you gotta love the liberal media. So full of it.
