Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    What a miss from Williams!

    Ha, that’s some miss....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 54,640 ✭✭✭✭Headshot

That's a surprisingly good sub unless he's injured and Ole didnt have a choice...

Ok Williams attacking play needs improving :D

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,054 ✭✭✭wanderer100

Shaw would be annihilated if he did that

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,345 ✭✭✭✭PARlance

LB is sorted, Williams is a clever player, a few times today he has gone forward and stayed forward but has tucked in as shown by his position for the pen

Imagine if we got a full package RB, AWB's defending and recovery is his strongest asset but his attacking play needs a lot of improving

    Ok take Maguire off now

I think one attacking and one more defensive is the best mix. But you would need someone wide right ahead of AWB.

I have absolutely no idea how Williams missed that but could you even imagine Luke Shaw bursting a gut to get onto the end of a cross like that?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,345 ✭✭✭✭PARlance

Shaw would be annihilated if he did that

He wouldn't be in the position to do it.

Probably need oxygen and maybe a shot of a defib.

How is young Idah doing for Norwich?

Maguire off now would be a good call.

Probably helps that we're 3 up when he missed...

    Matic is some player.

    William's is a kid.

Shaw has been a senior player for 4 or 5 years.

    Its apples and oranges tbh.

Andreas good in the 10 position.

Even the replay the commentator said "Williams still isnt in the shot but hes coming". Where the christ did he start that run from :pac:

Up to other half of the pitch. He has had no ball up to him.

Shaw would be annihilated if he did that

If shaw had played as well as William's has he would get some leeway.. also if it was 0-0 Williams would probably be getting slack

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,292 ✭✭✭Adamocovic

Think Williams has been brilliant and very promising like most.

Only thing, and it’s not a huge concern atm, but the commentator mentioned that he only uses his right foot. Every since I’ve been watching that seems to be the case and never really noticed.

Every time he’s down the flank he cuts it back to his right rather than swing in a cross on his left. Would be nice to see him mix it up just to stop it becoming too predictable for the defence.

3-0 up and fans are chanting "We want Glazers out" and "Ed Woodward, you're a wanker"

    Love it.

Goes to show the quality of the established squad when youth team up-and-coming players put most if not all old guard players to shame with enthusiasm and style

Can you hear that? Wasn’t paying attention so must of missed it. If that’s what’s being chanted I love it,

Not sure why Marital is still on at this point, we should be resting our important players

Martial and Maguire should off at this stage

Hopefully it's a revolution and the rats listen and sell up

    What was that chant?

Was it about VAR or something about Woodward and the Glazers

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,346 ✭✭✭Quandary

Get Maguire off now please. No need to leave him on with that score line

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,193 ✭✭✭✭Kerrydude1981

They should spend the last 10 minutes chanting it

I heard the "we want Glazers out" one way clearer than the Woodward one.

Hope Ole and the coaching staff finally realize Mata is perfect for games against the lower half teams that want to sit back.

Should be straight forward that he’s one of the best for delivering balls to unlock teams sitting back. Obviously not suited for every situation but I hope we see Ole starting him more often in these games.

Just heard it there, superb stuff, hopefully this is the start of something big from our fans. If they do this when we are cruising in games I can only imagine what might happen if we are losing or playing poor. Pretty much perfect aswell cause it’s not directed at the team or manager.

    Greenwood is something special

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,948 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

    Norwich are absolutely terrible.

Greenwood could be really really good.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,667 ✭✭✭Whatsisname

    Greenwood is ridiculous.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,346 ✭✭✭Quandary

    Bruno rumours will fizzle now.

Happy days for the glazers and Woody!

Yep definitely. The Anti-Woodward ones were followed immediately by "Ole Ole Ole" too.

    Williams MOTM?

Would like to see Dan James getting a goal, he needs something to get back into the early season form

    Many to choose from.

Definitely think Mata should be in with a shout too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,306 ✭✭✭✭Drumpot

It would be savage irony if Woodward chose Ole to be a human shield and it ended up that fans wouldn’t turn on Ole so vent their frustrations at the Wbanker

Still consistently been a menace for defenses but agree. Would be great to get him scoring more.

Would be great if the solution were that simple.
Mata started away to Newcastle and West Ham didn't he?

Midfield is still crying out for a creative player.

He's done well today in fairness, albeit against a very poor side.

I've thought about this from the very start, the fans would never turn on Ole as much as previous managers, if at all, which just puts him into the spotlight even more. Which finally seems to be happening. Even the media seem to be turning towards him too.

Cantwell would be a good pickup when Norwich are relegated.

    Midfield have lost it here

That’s a fair point. Those were back in September and early October. Believe since then we’re undefeated in games he’s started (could be wrong here) but the majority of those have been cup games.
