    Hi

I've scheduled a macbook repair for tomorrow in respect of my battery swelling in a 2015 13inch macbook pro.

I was wondering has anyone used them before for repairs and were they happy with them?

    Regards

    Jarvis

Never needed to use them for my Mac, but have used them a few times for my phone. It depends on who you get, but mostly I've found them to be very helpful and I've been happy with the results in all but one case - and I think that was down to the opinion of the person I was dealing with. But obviously if they can't deal with your swollen MacBook battery, nobody can. Good luck with it.

Thanks. I read that Mac Store repairs will more than likely repair the body along with battery replacement when this occurs, while other authorised repairers will just replace the battery. Just wanted to see if anyone has had experiences but thank you for the reply.

All authorised apple service providers replace the top case assembly for a battery replacement if the battery is glued in place. That’s the standard and if you’re authorised, that’s exactly what you do.

It’s the non-authorised ones who will separate the battery and fit a new one to the original top case or ‘body’.
